Meloxocam does not work for everyone and there are other NSAID prescription choices to try that are better. It does nothing for me. With NSAIDS, they work best taken daily and all day and night long. Some people can not take NSAIDs, or aspirin, it is too hard on their digestive system for example.
It could be that the hot and humid weather makes the joints hurt due to a rising barometric pressure, like some people find their joints hurt before a storm. This happens to me in humid weather, winter or summer -- more joint pain.
Also with that turmeric, you need to take a high quality 95% curcuminoid product AND according to my rheumatologist who recommended it -- 1000 mg twice a day. I use Jarrow 95 brand. So that is 2 pills morning and 2 pills with dinner. My husband takes a brand that has a few other ingredients, they are the catalyst that helps the herb work but i have a sensitive stomach so limit what is in my turmeric.
That much aspirin is a lot. Aspirin is as bad as NSAIDs on your stomach and intestinal tract. I'd take an NSAID instead of aspirin because it helps work on the inflamation. If your doctor says avoid NSAIDs, then stop the aspirin and all that is left is acetomenphin (tylenol). As someone else said, eat a healthy anti-inflammatory diet. I have to avoid nightshade foods like white potatoes and foods with oaxalic acid like spinach. They make my joints hurt more and alcohol does the same.
So avoid french fries!
Tart cherry is another anti-inflammatory that is known to help joint pain. But again, you have to take enough and keep up with it. I don't know how much is enough. It comes in liquid concentrated juice and pills.

Oh, another thing: try those knee sock things. I got a pair on Amazon. They are knitted and like socks but it is just for on your knees. Not a brace but similar idea. Keeps the joints warm all night in bed and you wake up without all that stiffness, etc. For hands, I used far infrared gloves. Expensive but fabulous.
People used to wear "leg warmers" as a fashion statement. If these are wide enough, you can use them over your knees but usually they are too narrow.

She mentioned this to her doctor last week and asked for several things to be checked. The only thing that showed up in her bloodwork was a very low Vitamin D level. One mega dose of the prescription Vitamin D, and by today she's experiencing no pain in her legs and feet.
