I have arthritis in my feet along with occasional plantar fasciitis and flair ups of gout
This was recommended to me I find it works Try getting a pan of hot water with apple cider vinegar added to it and soak your hands until the water gets cold , repeat several times a day

@SharkE.  By the way, Voltaren is a NSAID.  Read the label and literature that come with it.

Just throwing this out there.  Avoid ALL NSAIDS if you have any kidney issues and research any/all supplements you're considering, for the same reason.

@JeanLouiseFinch.  Well, it's like this, I used prescription NSAIDs 38 years before there was a slight effect on my kidney function.  During that time I was able to work and live a normal life pretty much pain free.

I was advised to go off of it about 2 years ago.  Now I don't take anything and am in constant pain.  Can't walk, stand or do much housework.  Can't travel or visit relatives.  Can't stand to cook or garden.  Were those 38 years worth it?  Heck yes!  I could do all the things I can't do now.

I'm pretty good about not taking anything too much

throught the course of the day.

At night take couple of pills. Don't take aspirin at all.

(blood thinner)  I like the pills that says PM on them

helps me stay asleep.

My Aunt who is 95 taking shots and still tries to be active as much as possible. Oldest sister has hip problem. She's heavier then me and not much for exercise. I'm a big believer in you got to keep moving why I do the recumbent bike . Think that's why my legs never bother me.

Seems like the hand thing happened over night .

@Kachina624 - based on your comment, I'm assuming your kidneys were OK, to begin with.  Notice that I said they should be avoided IF kidney issues are already present.  I was diagnosed with kidney cancer earlier this year.  After having my entire right kidney removed I was told no NSAIDS or aspirin even though the left one is healthy.

Thanks all will do !  Gonna order that 55.00 hand massenger too.

I hate getting old. today in rehab I was talking to a gal that had a knee replacement and she said "take it from me, lady, don't ever get a knee replacement".

I said "my legs are great no problem there I hit the recumbent 25-30 miles a week".  Once my legs go it will be assisted living for me and I sure don't want that.

Praise the Lord my legs are no problem !!

I had my right knee replaced two years ago,  The only thing I regret is not having it done sooner.

The pain I had prevented me from living my life.  I was crippled with pain.

Now, I am 100% pain free.

Knee replacements seldom go haywire.  I was scared to death with the first one back in 2008 but it's still going strong.

I tried massaging the joints in hand. Won't do that again. stiffer then was and more painful.

Looks like my rings gonna be sized from 7-8.

taking OTC meds. Doing rehab, also.

Any miracle cures out there any one can advise ?

I bought heated gloves , also. I've read where cold is better, so, have to experiment.

What do you do for osteoarthritis not rheumatism thank God !

@SharkE

Haven't read the rest of the posts, but have been dealing with both RA and Osteo for years ... and have tried everything.

Will elaborate later when I have more time, but just wanted to say that I use Aspercreme cream at night as my bedtime hand cream.  It's great.

I wash my hands a lot but sometimes use it during the day, too.

@SharkE    I ordered a hand massager from QVC last Christmas.  It helps me a lot.  It hurts at first but just take ibuprophen after and don't give up!
