Re: Are you going to appointments?

Of course, I can't let my body fall apart or problems go unnoticed.  I have some chronic issues that I need periodic testing and MD visits for.  O course, since the virus, all my MD appoints are virtual visits.  They have been over the phone.  But I did have to go in for the lab work and tests.  Actually, yesterday I went in for some vision tests and scans.  When the results are available, my ophthalmologist will phone me for the virtual visit.  That's the way it works now.  However, people who want actual face to face visits can still have them.

Re: Are you going to appointments?

I feel comfortable going to appointments.  Temps are taken, masks are worn, seating is blocked off in the waiting room, etc.  I've accompanied my dad who is 89 to several appointments.  We've waited in the car until it was time for him to go direclty into the room which helps a lot.

I have yet to go to the dentist, but I'm confident their protocols are safe.  They were ulta sanitary before COVID.

Re: Are you going to appointments?

Only been doing oncology stuff and gas to get there since March.  Every other thing is on hold.  The calls are coming in though, so something will have to give.

I have to go to the other hospital, which always 25-30 Covid cases, on Monday for a MRI.  Vacillating on going at all.

This is hard stuff to figure out.

Re: Are you going to appointments?

I have gone to a few appts and had a few tests done because it is time for them to be done.

My mother is in her upper 80's and she has had a number of appts and had a procedure done as well.

So far things have gone well.

Re: Are you going to appointments?

I have been to the Dr's office for a vaccine. There were all kinds of precautions. I have no concerns about going back for my annual exam, mamo. I did decide to reschedule my dentist appt. After canceling it, it was a two month wait to get a new appt. Will be going at end of Sept. Mentioning that because if you do decide to reschedule something routine, you might have a wait. Have not been to the hair salon in 6 months and don't intend to go anytime soon.

Re: Are you going to appointments?

I am in N.J.

A month ago I went to my eye doctor (after 3 cancellations).

You had to sit in your car until your EXACT appt time.  Then your temp is check at the reception desk.  No mask, you are sent home - no exceptions.

Afterwards you go straight into the exam room.  Eye doc was right there waiting for me.

EVERYONE wearing a masks & face shield.  Some goggles.

Billing section had plexie glass seperating the patients-6 ft apart.

When 1 patient enters a building, another is let in (if it's their EXACT appt time.).

Hand sanitizers all over the place.  I wore gloves.  I used the sanitizer to clean my gloves. Smiley LOL

Re: Are you going to appointments?

Yes, as are many people I know.  It probably depends on where you live, though.
