Aquatic Classes for Arthritic Patients...

Hi,

I had started another thread in general about this nasty subject. I added my latest excapades and i don't think, people were inclined to read it, as I had just added it on.

So here is what I have to say about this, which if it serves one person, I have "done my job."

*****************************************************************************my latest is after the physical therapy, to start aquatic classes for arthritic patients. I looked high and low in d.c. and the public pools were all filled up until april. Since I have to be fit in April for my work, walking tours, I joined a health club where they give these classes and, althpugh I had to sign a contract, i had no option but go for it. The instructor is terrific, has arthritis herself and it is one hour non-stop, in water 83 degrees. Terrfic.

If you are looking into this absolutely make sure NOT to join regular aerobics as that is a mistake often made as the focus there is on cardio. Also the real classes are very different and in 83 degrees. Good luck.

Just f.y.i.

P.S. My orthopedic surgeon says this is the best therapy you can do for yourself, and again

pointed out to NOT sign up for aerobics, as that is much to rough.
