I was referred to a pain specialist, had the mri of my total spine showing a lot of compression and nerve space narrowing in cervical and lumbar spine.  I could barely walk and had a tremendous amount of pain.  

I had injections in my cervical spine of 3 nerve spaces (3 on each side of my neck).  Otherwise, I would have ablation done in those areas if I didn't get adequate relief.  The injections worked really well for me.  I have a lot of pain relief and relief of the "tingling" and "electric" nerve pain that I have.  I was also started on gabbapentin as well.  I also had 4 (4 injections on each side of my lumbar spine) that gave me a tremendous amount of relief.  Yes, my injections were done by a specialist.
