When I was treated for anxiety problem I needed a specialist to Dx and prescribe the medication. I do hope you are seeing the right doctor.

He is a general practioneer , i have an app, with nerologist Nov 3.

i have taken clonazepam in the past for anxety  i weaned off on my own over 20 yrs ago, because it is a benzo and i did not want to become dependant. family members had benzo dependence, i did not want that.

 

one quirk i found was the tabs are chewable. there is no bitter pill taste.  or maybe i was being given placebos! i took generic version, blue tabs.
