Re: Anyone have Conceirge Medicine Coverage?

In Florida BF has it.  It's about 1,500.00 a year.  I do not think it is worth it at all.  He is in perfect health. I've asked why do you have it? more money down the drain?

I never saw a benefit for 6 years now for him.  I have "Plan" "G", and It takes care of everything. BCBS.

No, I have not fully reviewed my secondary coverage (a Federal employee health plan), to see if they have concierge nursing coverage.  I'll have to check and/or call to ask.

Medicare is the primary coverage and my Federal plan is secondary.  I'm assuming neither covers such speciality care, but I have not confirmed that in any way.

I have Medicare as primary and my Federal plan secondary.  All of my doctors file my insurance directly.  Can't think of the last time i had an out of pocket expense from appointments. I also have a concierge primary care doctor.  I like it.  If you are sick you get in same day.  Appointments are not rushed.  The lobby is never full of people.  They do a complete physical annually.  You pay an annual fee (i pay mine quarterly).  Neither insurance plan will reimburse you for your concierge premiums.  But if you itemize on your federal return you can show it as an unreimbursed medical expense.

Re: Anyone have Conceirge Medicine Coverage?

Conceirge Medicine is not insurance

Key Takeaways

  • Concierge medicine provides patients with convenient and enhanced access to their doctors through a membership fee, allowing for longer visits, minimal wait times and direct communication. This model benefits those seeking more personalized care and faster access to medical services compared to traditional health care settings.
  • Membership fees for concierge medicine can be expensive, making it inaccessible to lower-income individuals. While some patients may save money on emergency visits and additional services, the cost remains a barrier for many.
  • A lower-cost option under the same direct-care model, DPC provides similar benefits without the high membership fees, typically costing under $100 per month. Unlike concierge medicine, DPC does not bill insurance, reducing administrative costs and making health care more accessible.
  • This model is particularly beneficial for older adults, individuals with chronic illnesses, frequent travelers and those prioritizing preventive health. By offering comprehensive screenings, ongoing health coaching and coordinated specialist care, concierge doctors help patients proactively manage their health rather than just treating illnesses as they arise.

I haven't seen any insurance companies cover it. I use it for functional medicine to stay healthy and not have to take medications. I pay out of pocket for it.

Re: Anyone have Conceirge Medicine Coverage?

We have a Dr in town that doesn’t take insurance his practice is Conceirge service but you don’t have to pay a yearly fee if you choose not to , although it is less expensive if you see him often
you can just pay as seen Which we’ve done several times throughout the years when unable to get an appointment with our reg Drs
He’s an excellent Dr
I think the most we’ve paid at a time is a little over $250 and that included X-rays and meds
I’ve also used a nurse practitioner I know who has a Concierge service
She does telephone visits only
I was sick earlier this year and didn’t feel like going to quick care and couldn’t get in to see our Drs for a few days I called her , described my issue she prescribed meds for me
It was $99 I felt it was worth it and will defiantly use her service again if needed
I feel we are fortunate to have access to both of them even though we do have insurance
