My husband had one thumb done and probably needs the other done but his hand surgeon left the area and he doesn't know whom to see. I suspect he'll find someone when it gets unbearable. The operated thumb feels great. I repeat what others have said. Go to a board certified hand surgeon and then, for PT, see someone who specializes in hands. My husband did that and it turned out well.

My hand surgeon never mentioned a joint implant but I was going to ask about it when I decide to go a head with the surgery.  The doctor said to make another appointment and to bring my questions before deciding on having the surgery.  Thank you for your reply!

It's good to hear that your husband had a sucessful surgery.  After reading all the posts about the hand PT, that's one of my top questions for my surgeon.  Thanks for your reply.
