I am tempted to order the So Clean machine to clean my
C-PAP mask, hose, and machine, but it is $300 so I'd like to hear from some people who have used it.
Any comments would be appreciated.

$300 seems like an awful lot to spend for something like this. My husband wipes his mask down with alcohol wipes, and washes everything in baby shampoo with a good measure of hydrogen peroxide. I can buy a lot of wipes, baby shampoo, and peroxide for that kind of money.

Check Amazon -- there are reviews there for this product.

Are You serious? $300 My husband has had a C-Pap for over 5 years. He is on his 2nd machine. He only uses regular dish soap in warm water, not hot. He washes it about once a week. When he was in the hospital in January the respiratory dept. couldn't believe how clean his machine and tubing were. I wouldn't waste my money. That was my DH words.

You aren't supposed to use any kind of soap to clean the masdk or hose. You are supposed to use vinegar water then throughly rinse once a week. Change the mask once every 3 months and the face piece every week.I clean mine with CPAP wipes every day.
I too have been looking at the So Clean.

It gets great reviews on the CPAP shop website. All 4 & 5.

Well I have one because I hate cleaning my cpap but the soclean states it is not a substitute for cleaning your tubing. I like mine. I purchased it on Amazon but I had won gift cards from a wellness program at work so I did not pay the $300 out of my pocket. I use it daily and I still clean my tubing weekly with Ivory dish soap and water. I have not had any ill effects from my cpap in 6 years. I like the soclean a lot. I like the idea that daily I can put my mask in the machine and run it and it is clean and ready for me at night. When I purchased mine it had very good reviews. I have been satisfied but it is hard to tell if it is really doing anything. However, the instructions do say to wash your new tubing before putting it in the soclean because the new tubing reacts and gives off a smell. When I first received the soclean, I did not wash the tubing and it did have a smell that I did not appreciate. So I guess it does do something to that tubing LOL. I guess I have not helped your situation much, but yes I like mine very much and use it daily.

@conlt Thanks for that information. All the reviews that were not a 5 star were because of that smell - I suppose they didn't bother to read the instructions. I don't think $300 is a lot of money for what this does. I've been using my CPAP for 7 years now, still on my first machine. All that cleaning is a pain in the neck. I also have added the use of filters that fit on between the machine and the hose. I am shocked at how dirty they get, so I feel they are important tp me. I buy them from the CPAP shop online.

Thank you for all the replies. Halo 117 and 151949, your comments helped me make the decision. I have had my cpap machine for about 10 years. I faithfully use wipes each day for the mask, and once a week wash everything with hot water and Dawn detergent. I let that soak for 10 minutes, rinse, and then disinfect everything with a 3 part water to 1 part vinegar for 20 minutes. These directions were given to me by a respiratory therapist. He said most people do the cleaning part (soap and water) but don't do the disinfecting part.
After 10 years of daily and weekly cleaning, I'm getting tired of doing all this. And, I found a site, which I guess I cannot post here, but the machine was $269 with free shipping. So, I ordered it this morning. The reviews were also great on this site and the one theme that seemed to be running through the reviews was the air seemed fresher.
If anyone is interested in ordering one and saving $30, google it and go to a medical site.

I've also wondered about the "SoClean" machine because I hate the hassel of washing my equipment every week, and I am a germ-a-phobe.
I was hoping the price would come down a little more and then I'd order one. But actually, having a SoClean machine for your Cpap machine is like having a dishwasher for your dishes!
