Anyone Use B12 For Arthritis?

I have arthritis all along my spine and it is getting progressively worse.  I don't have sharp pain but it's like a constant ache.

A friend asked if I was taking B12 because she heard that it helps.  Does anyone take B12 for arthritis?  If  so, does it help and how much do you take?  TIA

Okay, first, have you been diagnosed with RA, Osteoarthritis ... or BOTH?

(I was diagnosed with both years ago, so this is where I'm coming from).

Are you seeing just your PCP or also a Rheumatologist?

As you know, what works for one person does nothing for another.  If you are taking any meds, B-12 might affect how they work.

If you can share more, I'm happy to pass on what I've learned.

Every case is different but my friend gets relief by getting injections in her spine, works well for several months at a time. She sees a pain mgmt specialist.

@Tinkrbl44  I have osteoarthritis.  Right now I'm just seeing my primary doctor and going to PT.  I'm on blood pressure and cholesterol meds, I have not asked my doctor yet about taking B12.  Thanks

In the thread about what pain reliever do you use, I also mentioned topical products.  That might help you quite a bit.

Not getting enough B12 can be a cause for joint pain in some people, especially those with autoimmune diseases which involve joint health. It's a good idea to have your vitamin B12 level checked before taking the vitamin unnecessarily.

I have an AI disease scleroderma which affects all of my joints. One of the first blood tests my rheumatologist ordered was a vitamin B12 level which came back very low. I can't say if taking vit B12 helped with joint pain however.

Re: Anyone Use B12 For Arthritis?

You may want to consider taking "Tumeric 400 Circumin,"

available through Andrew Lessman.  Tumeric is an old remedy,  but it it must be balanced with other ingredients to be effective.  It has helped me with my back issues tremendously.

My PCP, board-certified in Internal Medicine, has told me he now recommends it to patients with my problem.  We use Lessman's products because they are manufactured in this country to strict standards and are very effective.  You can purchase through his company, on Amazon, or on HSN.  I try to buy his products on sale at that channel.

His factory can only produce a limited amount of products, hence you won't find it in your local pharmacy.
