I fractured both bones in my right wrist last May, and had a plate and eight screws put in the radius. The two parts of my ulna didn't align properly and basically didn't heal. I've been having a lot of discomfort and weakness in that area. Today the orthopedic surgeon told me that x-rays show I have a "nonunion" in that area and will need to wear an electronic bone stimulator by Biomet for the next 4 or 5 months at least 10 hours a day. He said I can wear it while I'm sleeping. The thing keeps track of how long you wear it so the company knows. Has anyone ever worn one, and do you feel it giving you shocks?
I guess the company will get in touch with me about it. Thanks.
