I never saw or heard of this before but as I have recently started going to a small exercise place they have one of these and several women enjoy using it. They say they feel it is beneficial to use before or after doing other exercises. I have read on line about it and there seems to be a lot of health benefits to it. I do not believe that it will cause one to lose weight or be a substitute to regular exercise, but it seems like there are some genuine health benefits to it. I am actually thinking of purchasing one for home, although I think I will check with my doctor before I do so.
Any thoughts???

I was told by my PT and Ortho not to get if you have problems with your back. It could cause damage especially if you have had surgery. They prefer gentle stretching or chair yoga.

I don't think they really do anything. They remind me of those shaky belt machines that you wrap around your back end...from a long time ago. I bet some folks here know what I'm talking about.Ha! I laugh just thinking about them.

I use one daily. I get stiff from sitting for long hours at my desk. I use it for several minutes every couple hours and it really helps loosen my stiff muscles. I feel better after using it.

Thank you for sharing that. I've been on the fence about getting one but will pass because of my wonky bad back.

I am leery of this device since I have two knee replacements. I don't know if that's a valid concern or not but I am not taking a chance.

I have had one for a few years & use it daily. There are videos on Youtube about its benefits. Supposedly it helps your bones-hip down. For me it gives me a kick before I exercise (warms muscles & wakes me up). I am 75- no back problems or knee replacements

@Goldengate8361 Haha! I can remember going to Elaine Powers (an exercise place for women) back in the late 1960s or early 1970s and they had those machines!

i have two of the vibration plates. i love them. the first one i got because it's suppose to be good for bone density, balance and muscle movement, in general. the second one is the same concept just has more choices for power and direction. i stand on mine-feet wide on the plank or you can put feet in center without much movement. i also sit if i just want to do puffy ankles. i think the q sells one and you can watch video. I have lifepro rumblex-wonderful products. p.s. i'm 75
