I've been using one for about the last 12 yrs.
My local naturopath has them for use on a drop in basis. They use the full size stand up machines. I bought a platform machine with dual vibration on Amazon at the start of Covid. Think I paid under $300. Dual vibration includes an oscillating function.
It's good for circulation and lymphatic drainage. Weight loss, not so much. It's lowest settings are very gentle. If you have mobility issues you can place a sturdy kitchen chair in front of it and place your feet on the platform. Mine has a remote control.
They are not for those who have had joint replacement as it can loosen the artificial joint.

They also say you can do a plank & vibrate your upper body. I haven't tried it-sounds interesting!

@Goldengate8361 : Do you remember an episode of I Love Lucy and exercising?😀😀😀

I bought mine from the Q a couple years ago to help with circulation and balance. I used it several times a week for about a year. I didn't see improvement in either, so I've stopped using it and mostly have dumped things on top of it.
I didn't use it for weight loss and had none.
I may go at it again. But all in alll, I wouldn't consider it useful for what I bought it.

I have used one for about a year. I broke my femur 2.5 years ago which in turn has also caused hip and back pain. This machine has significantly helped restore some strength and my balance has really improved as well. Not sure if I have lost weight with it or toned much ( I am also on GLP1 so that is probably where the weight loss comes from). It really helps loosen my muscles after I have sat for awhile. I use it for 15 minutes in the morning when I first get up and 20 minutes before bed. I absolutely love it!

I have a friend who has one and I was anxious to try hers when I went up to see her. I read a caution somewhere and mentioned it at the clinic and was told since I have osteoporosis using one is not advised. That makes sense to me. My friend has osteopenia so I hope she checks at her doctor's office before continuing to use hers.
Old gym days - I remember those but- shaker belt machines and one that you lean against that had rollers that beat against you thighs. The older ladies used them. There was an old Jack LaLanne Euro Health Spa I went to when I started going to exercise classes after high school.

Are your issues swelling of the feet, ankles and lower leg? I can relate.

Thanks for the memory! It does sound like that. HA!HA!

I don't trust YouTube in matters that may affect my body. Any idiot can post a video. I'm glad it works for you, but I would seek more reliable information from medical professionals

I have one TKR and after I bought mine, I did think about that. I didn't use it until I reached out to my surgeon. I'd had my surgery 3 or 4 years previously and he said it was perfectly ok. But he did say, he would want patients to wait about 4 months after surgery before using one. He thought it was a good low impact form of exercise to strengthen muscles.
