Anybody have stomach trouble?

I've never had a problem with my stomach before.  If I eat my normal amount, my stomach bothers me for a couple hours after.  I've started eating less at a time, which helps... and I'll do that if necessary, but I'd rather just eat my normal amount.  My stomach just feels very uncomfortable after eating.  An ulcer maybe?  Anyone?

@spent2much

I know it's not what you probably want to hear, but please don't take medical advice from here, you need to see a Dr., maybe a Gastro Dr.

seeking medical advice here is not going to help you. Peoples advice and personal experiences are not applicable to you. And might cause you to delay getting a proper diagnosis. Make an appt with your primary care doctor right away.

Re: Anybody have stomach trouble?

@KingstonMom  If it becomes more problematic, I'll certainly see a doctor.  It's just that I've seen soooooooooo many different doctors for soooooooooooo many different things, I'm sick of it.  I'm 75 and, so far, I've had 17 surgeries.  I'm just so tired of it all.  I thought I'd ask here first.  I find that sometimes these boards can be very helpful.

believe me I get what you're saying. I'm 72 and now I have a specialist for pretty much every body system. Many surgeries and invasive procedures in my medical history as well. Most recent being last month- upper endoscopy and colonoscopy. Got to see glossy up close and personal photos of my colon and my great big hiatal (stomach) hernia afterwards 😂😳 which, by the way causes many symptoms, one of which is feeling too full too fast, also nasty acid reflux, nausea on occasion. your issues could be caused by any number of things.

Re: Anybody have stomach trouble?

@spent2much If your stomach is feeling full and even like an overfilled ballon, you could try Gas X. Gas can be quite painful in a way that you do not expect.

I have given up many of my favorite foods because I can no longer tolerate them. I feel your pain of not being able to eat what you want and as much as you want. My doctor told me small meals spread throughout the day. We have our main meal at lunch to avoid digestive problems in the evening.

Good wishes in finding the cause.

Re: Anybody have stomach trouble?

Get to your primary care doctor, who will send you for the proper testing -

never had a problem with my stomach until the last few years, my dr sent me for an endoscopy and it's acute gastritis.

I take omeprazole when it acts up, and have to stay away from all citrus, fried foods, anything greasy or fatty, small meals, and on and on.

LOL

@On It  Thank you.  Yes, I will try Gas X.  And I have also found that small meals spread throughout the day does help.

Re: Anybody have stomach trouble?

l have the same thing ,l thought it was my stomach but it's a sort of lBS , l feel great , eat and get terrible stomach aches an hour or two later . Then comes cramping,  then the bathroom and then it's all gone and l am fine again . lt doesn't seem to matter what l eat , but spicy food and heavy meals makes it much worse . So hard to handle dinner invites with this .
