Any other remedies for coughs?

Hi there and Happy New Year Smiley Happy

I am sick right now have a really bad bronchitis, I am on an antibotic, however, the cough is driving me nuts, its hurting just to clear my throat now. I have tried Robistin cough gels they worked for a hr and then yesterday I tried Mucinex D my goodness those pills are so big it was hard to swallow those. I was wondering if anyone has a gentlier way to calm a cough.
