I had a hysterectomy 4 years ago due to endometrial cancer. My mother wanted to come and mother me, so we scheduled a flight. Let me first say I had robotic surgery. I had no pain, no nothing. I felt good coming out of the anesthesia and went home the next day.

So my mother says she is going to take care of the cat. Had to move the litter box up from the cellar since I wasn't allowed to do stairs and my mother has mobility issues. Well, I had to call in the reinforcements to clean the litter box. Friends brought all meals. Week two, I cleaned the litter box and prepared the meals. I asked my mother why was I doing this, it was her job. She said she was there for moral support.

Your daughter will be fine. She needs to be a couch potato for a couple weeks, then little by little she'll be up and running.

I'm sorry you and your daughter are going through this, but how lucky she is to have YOU beside her.

Prayers for a successful surgery and quick recovery.

I know it is a terrible loss for her, but I've had the surgery and recovered very quickly. She knows you are there for her, so I'm sure it will ease her mind.
