The fact that she needs the surgery at this age means something is wrong. I had the surgery in my mid 30’s and wish I had had it sooner because afterwards I felt so much better. No more constant bleeding and being tired.
All surgery entails risks as a number of posters are and will be praying for you and your daughter.
As you wisely pointed out, you will have her around for a long time. She can take other paths for children if that is her desire. May she have a healthy, happy and long life !

I am sorry. I will send positive energy to your daughter for a complete healing physically and to you both in hopes you will find peace emotionally.
My niece was given this devastating news before she was 20 years old. Now, two years later she is happy and healthy and knows that she has options should she want to explore that path.
Would you mind telling us the approximate time of surgery, IG? I feel energy sent at the appropriate time is a mighty force!
Your daughter is very lucky to have a loving mom who will no doubt be the best caregiver ever!
Her surgery is scheduled for 8:30 AM, EST time.
We're waiting for the call as to when she needs to be there.
Thank you so much.
Thank you, IG. I am setting an alarm on my phone.
Sleep well tonight and know that you have legions of friends sending their best to you and your daughter.

i am so sorry to hear of this illness/surg.
She will be well taken care of in hospital. You will take care of her when she is released.
Just prepare for the changes that will happen.
I had my total hysterectomy at 32. It was the changes afterwards that threw me for a loop.
one step at a time.

All of your caring thoughts are appreciated, more than you'll ever know.
Thank you all.

DD (36), my only child, is having a hysterectomy tomorrow morning.
I'll be her caregiver instead of her hubby for a while, baby girls never outgrow their mothers, especially with this type of surgery.
We're both so sad and apprehensive about the surgery, any healing thoughts/good vibes are greatly appreciated, as we're both having a hard time dealing with this finality.
Some times life just sux........
Please tell your daughter that she wouldn't believe how many people are praying for her, cheering her on and wishing they could hug her. And you.
