Re: Another mammogram call back

I posted here a few days ago about new AI mamm readings, be sure to ask for them, they help to cut down on callbacks, $40 extra, not covered by insurance. you also still get the usual reading by a rad.

Re: Another mammogram call back

Thank you!  I don't think our hospital offer that yet.  I live in a small town and our resources are limited for healthcare.  My mother and sister also use this hospital and it's always call backs.  We have dense breast tissue so I don't think the mammograms alone are very reliable for us.

Re: Another mammogram call back

@GabbyAnn   When I called the place back two weeks ago they told me DEC!!! For a diagnostic mammo & Ultrasound.

I was NOT waiting till Dec, I started calling around on my own, so now I am going in tomorrow. This was two weeks ago, so I did have to wait two weeks but not 3 months!! Still covered on insurance, had my records trasferred, it was an easy process.

FOLLOW UP

Had to get Mammo & Ultrasound.

ALL IS FINE!!  WHEW, feels light a brick off my shoulders.

They came in and talked to me and said I have like zero fat tissue in my breast which makes all my tissue look white.

He commented on how lean I was and to keep doing what I am doing.

I walk daily, lift (heavy) weights 6 days a week, full rest one day a week.

Try to keep my weight stable (Menopause is trying so hard to kick my a$$) and my muscle mass up, body fat down. It was so nice of him to come in and make a comment.

Whew!  Till next year...

Re: Another mammogram call back

@Shelbelle  Thank you! I'm glad yours went well too.

Yes, hoping next year I won't need to do that, they will have all the extra imaging to compare it to.  You are right, just nice to have that behind me. Glad I called another clinic and didn't wait until December to get in.!

@wagirl  THANK YOU.  Yes, I am finally about to get some sleep. My anxiety was off the charts for two weeks, I'm still recovering from it.  The stress it puts us though is unreal. They need to make these appoints all in one. Have the radiologist on site reading them same day!
