This time in Virginia - Wake County.

 — Several COVID-19 vaccine providers have stopped administering the Johnson & Johnson vaccine after a few adverse reactions were reported on Thursday.

Wake County spokeswoman Stacy Beard said 18 people had an adverse reaction to the vaccine at the PNC Arena clinic. More than 2,300 Johnson & Johnson vaccines were administered at the clinic on Thursday, meaning 0.78% of vaccine recipients had a reaction.

Re: Another J&J Vaccine Halt

@ALRATIBA    Maybe I need to go back to 7th grade, but I read .78 as 78% or about 2790 problems which would be terrifying.  I would write your sentence as .78 of 1% (or .0078) which is the number of adverse reactions.

The way the article was written is fine. It has a zero in front of the decimal.  That means it's even lower than one percent.

0.78% x 2300 = .0078 x 2300 =  17.94, 17 or 18 vaccine recipients,  more or less.

18 divided by 2,300 times 100 = 0.78%

@ALRATIBA   So now I know who needs to head to 7th grade!  Hope they are not helping their kids with their math!

PS -  I was really an Engish teacher until the year I returned to school in the fall and found a math class on my schedule.  I undoubtedly learned more than my class.

WEll, that makes 3-

Denver, NC, VA.

Not a good sign for J&J.

I'm glad all here who got it have said they were fine.

Perhaps it is some problem in this "batch."

I don't think they should continue until they have figured out if anything is off, and not just keep on.
