@Cakers3   OMG!  That you had to go through that and prove that hubby was not taking drugs!😮  Must happen more than we think...we are the ones that must double check everything even if they make you feel stupid.

I remember hearing  on a  show about protecting yourself  .....  they said that when you pick up ANY prescription to ask to have checked that what is in the bottle is what is on the label when you are there.  So I asked the clerk to have that done....you should have seen the look I got....like are you nuts not trusting us?  They did it.....but they made me feel like an idiot.

@SeaMaidenThankfully our PCP is like a best friend-we are all on first name basis.  He was livid that it had happened and he was the one who told us to see only him from now on.

And yet...........last December somebody had an EVOKE test-I don't even know what the heck that is.........and they billed MY INSURANCE!!!

I check my account whenever I've had something done or have seen PCP, Dentist, etc. and saw this...........it was a bill for $2005.00!!!!!

Of course, PCP was concerned because services not provided but billed is considered fraud.

That is taken care of-just waiting for the diagnosis to be removed from my medical records.

How the heck do these things happen???  Sloppy, careless people.

btw:  Our scripts always have a description of the meds on the label-type of pill, color, imprints, etc.  We check online when we get home anyway with new scrips.  Once it is an ongoing scrip we know what the meds look like.

I finally got an answer from my Rhumeo the paper work was done and the test was not done. I will never know where the error lies but I am glad I finally heard back from the doc

To file a complaint about your doctor and/or medical facility, contact your State medical board

You can do so online and/or by snail mail.  Make sure you cc to the medical facility.  This way, they will know YOU mean business.

FIle a complaint with the medical board because someone accidentally forgot to order a test she wasn't planning on ordering in the first place??  Yes, please do.  Everyone at the board needs a good laugh!!!!

My cardiologist just called and changed my appointment for the second time in one month.  My last appointment was in October.  My new appointment is August 6.  To change Doctors  would mean a longer wait. This just isn’t right.

Yes, God forbid the doctor is experiencing his or her own personal crisis/health issue and has to reschedule your appointment.  The nerve of them . . . .

Re: Annoyed with one of my doctors

I recently learned my GP is scheduled to see 38 patients a day.  No wonder things get overlooked.  Go in with a list of stuff you want covered, either in testing or discussion.  Don't get upset when they mess up.  If it is a consistent pattern, that's a different story.  It just isn't worth your stress.

I know exactly how you feel. I am so tired of nonresponsive drs!  Am currently waiting for my drs nurse to call me back with some info. That was six hours ago. Wish I had a good solution for you.....changing drs doesn’t guarantee things would be any different,

There is nothing like the good old fashioned Physicians that made house calls and arranged for xrays to be taken in your home, podiatrists to cut nails in your home, and other Medical Specialists and RN's to also come to your home, as well as arranging in home Hospice end of life care, or in the hospital, your choice.

Now we have to go to so many for the same results and I just about gave up.

I have a problem with walking and sitting for long periods of time since I have spinal pain, but I suffer and am forced to go to all these Medical care givers, and please no point to mention  a medical clinic because they all stink too, and I have tried many and waited from 8:30 to 5 PM and never saw anyone just to be told to come back again the next day. Clinics are underpaid and over run, and are not easy to get to or financially convenient to use at all.

I must wait over 5 hours to see my primary care in network physician and I pay all the SS Medicare costs which are taken out of my SS DD bank check each month. I also have my prescription premiums also taken out of my  SS Medicare check every month.

My beloved Mom who was totally disabled in her earlier years was right, because  she always said at least when we die we are no longer subjected to unnecessary expensive painful tests, which cannot help the situation in the least, whether we can afford to pay them or not, we still get the medical bills due for payments.

Some people no longer own anything because they sold what they owned and used the money to pay for medical bills which were piling up, so they declared bankruptcy since they were free and clear of all private property and their SS checks are untouchable by anyone except the IRS if you owe and never paid your taxes to the IRS, then the IRS can take that money from your SS check.

Some moved to areas where taxes were low and cost of living was cheaper so they also saved more $ that way.

Re: Annoyed with one of my doctors

I have had several doctors rant and rave to me about the state of health care...would prefer to be examined and be able to go home. Patients are painfully aware of the state of health care...we are disappointed in the cost and quality of drs...and drs are disappointed in the cost, insurance, and give by regulations.
