I take around 12-15 of Andrew's supplements. Most of them are solid regular purchases for me. I tend to go back and forth about the UFF, but that's just because I don't get the same crazy high level of results with it... and that's probably because I have a compromised immune system due to 3 intestinal surgeries. -- It's left me with intestinal challenges, so I tend to get discouraged when Andrew's UFF isn't the silver bullet that so many of his products have been to me.
lol, I should know better because even the very best products can only do so much.
I've been taking the UFF on and off for about 4 years now. -- I started off with his Friendly Flora but it just wasn't powerful enough for my health needs. The UFF was definately more helpful.. lol, and I really do need to be taking it regularly.
From what I remember, the largest TS Andrew had offered before this had been a 200 capsule supply.
Initially, when it came on the market, he had offered a 360 cap supply of his Friendly Flora. -- If you check through very old HSN review, you'll see complaints about it then:
* capsules turned a darker color over time
* capsules got harder over time and folks wondered if the flora wee still "alive"
Procaps always told me (and I believe them) that the product was still fine. But due to peopl's questions, after about a year and a half, Andrew made the 180 size the very largest size.
The Procaps folks have told me that Andrew puts in WAY more than 25 billion colony forming units to make absolutely sure that when you finish the product (here 270 capsuels) at one capsule a day that there will still be a 25 billion CFUs per capsule.
My sense it that he probably would like people to finish his UFF in a 9 month period in order to get the fullest potency... So I'll only be ordering one bottle.
That will probably mean that I will have to repurchase at a higher price but, since the UFF is a "live" product, in this particular case freshness really is important.
I'll be getting one of the 270 capsule size.

@bebe777 I just ordered the largest size of the probiotics and then read your post. After reading what you said about it turning color for some, I think I'll store it in the refrigerator. I've kept other probiotics in the fridge according to the product's directions, so maybe that will help since I got such a large bottle.
I've been taking probiotics for years but recently ran out, and my digestion hasn't been as good lately. I know that they're necessary for us, especially as we age. I think I've had the best results with Bio K+ liquid, but it's expensive. I've tried so many other brands, and the thing that really helps my digestion is to eat a strict paleo diet. But I just can't do that all of the time. I notice a HUGE difference when I cut out grains and sugar, though.
Thanks again for your post!

@VaBelle35 wrote:@bebe777 I heard him talk about keto briefly. I think for people who are starting keto or paleo, it would probably help them during that flu phase they talk about. I never experienced that because I went from WW to Eat Clean to Whole30 to Primal so my diet was already pretty decent and I had reduced my added sugar to 6 tsp per day (the AHA recommendation) by the time I did my Whole30.
I'm on day 10 of Keto Reset and it kicked in yesterday. Today is even worse/better as I am like a machine today running around getting stuff done. I hope I can go to sleep!
@VaBelle35 I'm really interested in how you do on the Keto Reset diet. The book is sitting in front of me right now. I've done the Whole 30 three times and feel great on it, but found it too restrictive to do all of the time. I like that Mark Sisson follows the 80/20 and allows some treats or celebrations, and then you get back on track. We have to live, not be slaves to food.
I have cancer in my family, and I've read more on cancer as a metabolic disease rather than from genetic mutation. It's an interesting hypothesis (with a lot of research behind it). At least, it can't hurt to change one's diet to limit sugar and grains, and we're able to control our diet more than our genes.
Trying to get healthier this year. I've taken supplements for years now, but I finally joined a gym a couple months ago after realizing I was making too many excuses to not run (it's too cold, it's too hot). I see that my patients in their 80's and 90's who look healthy overall, don't need a walker or cane, and have lots of energy all have a positive attitude and have been active their whole lives, even if it's just walking. I realized that I can't wait to get more regular exercise until after I retire in 20 years.
Please keep us posted on the Keto Reset. I need to get through the book before I start so that I'm prepared. I still don't know how it differs from the Whole 30, but it looks like keto doesn't allow potatoes and sweet potatoes like the Whole 30 does.

Hi @pinkmochi and thank you for your kind words. *s*
On a number of occasions, Andrew has specifically said to NOT store it in the fridge. His probiotics are created to be shelf stable and, If I remember correctly, refrigerating them would create moisture in the capsules and reduce their "shelf" life.
You may want to give Procaps Labs a call and they could give you more information in this.
Let me give another shot at explaining what happened iwhen Andrew first came out with this product...
He's mentioned a number of times that he was working on this product for 10 years before he finally came out with it. -- When he finally introduced it, he mentioned that hiis mother's doctor had recently advised her to start taking a probiotic. So I wonder if that might have moved his release date up a bit.
At the start, with the 360 count supply, some customers complained that the product color started to get slightly darker towards the end of the bottle. Again, with the 360 capsule supply, towards the end some folks said that the capsules started to get hard.
Andrew and the Procaps staff tried to reassure folks that this in no way affected the potency of these probiotics, but some people were still upset.
I think that was the reason that they stopped selling the 360 count. After that, I stopped reading these sorts of complaints.
Probiotics are live organisms so, to me, I don't find it alarming that there should be some changes in the capsules over time. -- Andrew has earned my trust, and so if he says they are fine then I believe him. I think he has too much integrity to lie, and it's just not worth it to him to lie.
btw, while the probiotics are "alive", they are really in a dormant state when they are in the capsule. They are activated by your stomach acid when you swallow them.

@bebe777 Thanks for clarifying that he said to not store them in the fridge. I don't watch him much.
I've had other probiotics that change color over time, before the expiration date, and they work the same as when they were fresher. Color change doesn't bother me either. I just want to try to get as much potency as possible, but different brands have different recommendations. ![]()

for more folks from the Wellness forum...
Andrew's two TS values for October 15th, 2017 (today) are:
* Ultimate Friendly Flora
* Resveratrol, Green Tea w/ EGCG, Pomegranate 40:40 & Grape Seed complex -- 100mg of each ingredient
Andrew's final TS show is 8pm-10pm ET tonight.
I've included two price charts below, for comparison, so that you can get a better idea of how great today's TS is over the regular prices.
___
In the first chart, which is Ultimate Friendly Flora (25 billion CFUs), I've included today's TS prices (in bold) as compared to his regular Procaps Labs prices (non-bold). -- Note that the TS sizes (30, 60, 120, and 270) are different from his regularly available sizes (90 and 180). -- Today you are getting the 270 capsule size, for the regular price of the 180 capsule size which is a 33% savings over the regular price.
Procaps Labs prices for Ultimate Friendly Flora
30 capsules -- TS -- $19.90
60 capsules -- TS -- $34.90
90 capsules -- $59.90
120 capsules -- TS -- $59.90
180 capsules -- $99.90
270 capsules -- TS -- $99.90
___
The second chart is for the Resveratrol, Green Tea w/ EGCG, Pomegranate & Grape Seed Extract (GSE) complex. -- I've included today's TS prices (in bold) as compared to his regular Procaps Labs prices (non-bold). -- Procaps Labs regularly carries a Resveratrol, Green Tea w/ EGCG & Pomegranate complex which also includes 100mg of each supplement. The also carry a 100mg Grape Seed Extract supplement.
To get a price comparison, I've added the prices of these two supplements together and compared those prices to today's TS.
Procaps Labs regular prices vs. TS prices for Res, GT, Pom & GSE complex
30 capsules -- Res, GT & Pom ($22.90) and GSE (not avail. in this size) --
30 capsules Res, GT, Pom & GSE -- TS -- $17.90
60 capsules -- Res, GT & Pom ($39.90) and GSE ($15.90) -- $55.80
60 capsules Res, GT, Pom & GSE -- TS -- $29.90
120 capsules -- Res, GT & Pom ($99.90) and GSE ($39.90) -- $139.80
120 capsules Res, GT, Pom & GSE -- TS -- $69.90
360 capsules -- Res, GT & Pom ($179.90) and GSE ($69.90) -- $249.80
360 capsules Res, GT, Pom & GSE -- TS -- $99.90
All purchases today have free S&H. -- While the TS value is only valid for today, the special pricing on the other supplements is available through tomorrow evening, since Andrew has a Variety Show tomorrow night on HSN.
The very best TS values are always on the largest size.

I bought the friendly flora, but I'm disappointed it's only 25 billion CFUS. I just like it because for travel I don't have to refrigerate it. I"ve had it before, and it seemed to help with my eczema. I just got a 60 count. I prefer the RAW for women as it's 85 billion CFU's.

I just added up the cost of all the stuff I ordered and it came to just a bit under $600.00.

Whole30 was developed to help people identify food allergies on their own. It's an elimination diet. You eliminate everything that can possibly be a trigger. It's not low carb or a weight loss program, but people end up eating "lower carb" than their regular diet because of the limited items you can eat and end up losing weight because they are eating less. For me, I lost 4 lbs on my Whole30, but I was close to my goal weight and doing it for allergies, not weight loss.
Keto is for people with certain health issues and risk factors. It is low carb, between 20g - 50g a day. 50g is the ceiling. You have a hard stop at 50g. YOu cannot do 60g one day and 40g the next day and is evens out. Leafy greens you can use net carbs if you want, but all other carbs are total carbs.
People who don't have health issues or risk factors are doing Keto for the energy. The people who lift and do crossfit and are beasts do Keto to up their training.
To lose weight on Keto Reset, you adjust your fat grams down to create the calorie deficit.
For me, I just wanted to see what it did for me. So far, so good. I haven't eaten yet today, I am just starting to eat right now ( at 16 hours of fasting).
I'm still buzzing today! I was telling our health coach at work how I was feeling this weekend. He ate a box of donuts yesterday. LOL

Thanks for the heads up!
They “improved” the HSN app recently & now there is no option to get an alert on my phone. I’m missing all sorts of things. They will send an email reminder but that is not going to get my attention. They messed it up in other ways and managed to make the mobile website even worse than it was, too.
I ordered from both HSN & ProCaps over the weekend. The extra percent off at ProCaps is good incentive to order from them.
