Re: Andrew Lessman - April Schedule and TS's

I used to take the Vitamin D3. I had 2 tests from 2 different labs and both of them were way over 100. I stopped supplementing D3 completely, and it's been over a year.

Did you ever have a test before you started taking it?

What is your D# level now?

I never knew my original level. My GP won't check the D level yet, I asked.

Not during the winter months. The further north you live the harder it is to get the sunshine you need during the winter months. It's also too cold to sit outside in the winter. You need to get the sun on more of your body than your face & arms.

It is way more complicated than getting a few minutes of sun. It is not that easy for most of us. Do some research.

I learned I was deficient at a time when I was spending a lot of time outside in sunny Florida.

Yes I know. Like weight, age, color of your skin, where you live, the time of day, if you are wearing sunscreen etc. I know using Andrews Vit D works. Make sure you get a blood test because it's fat soluble.

His D3 was one I used when I discovered I was low, too. It did help. I used a few different ones after that. I currently use a liquid form D3/K2 combo.

Definitely have lab work done.

What brand D3/K2 combo do you take? Does it use the K2 MK-7 form in the product you take? I know I should be taking some K2 just not sure how much. Andrews K2 product only has 50 mcg per capsule.

I use Thorne D/K2. 1000 IU D3/200 mcg K2 per 2 drops. It uses the MK-4 form & that is fine for me since I take it a few times per day. If you are only planning to take it once per day the MK-7 form would be better.

I wish Andrew would come up with some good supplements that contain the things that need to be taken together & in correct amounts.

What is his excuse?

Too bad you did not have it tested before you started supplementing. No way of knowing if you needed it at one time. Or if you might need it now.

I have wanted to try the Ultimate Eye Support. I currently take Astaxanthin but I don't see a different with it. I was hoping it would reduce my floaters but nada.

I go to the eye doctor in July, so I will be interested to see if she notices any difference since I will have been taking it for almost a full year by then.

I don't know if you can reduce floaters. Some will dissolve on their own, but some are larger and don't go away... I have one of the latter.

The older we get, the less able our bodies are in absorbing vitamin D from sunlight. I take D also.

Over 100 is too much. I had mine checked last year & it was 62. I take Andrew Lessmans Vit D3. I take 5500 IU daily.

I was under 30 (I think 25) which is not good for having lupus. Now it's over 30, not a lot, but it helps.

No, not always and frequently not for older people. Our body does not absorb it well.
