I have been watching all the shopping channels over many years enough to see aging hosts who have claimed to use age-defying products, models who claim to use age-defying products, product creators and reps claiming even to reverse aging.

I can see, even with tv filters to counteract high def tv, that we are all aging and there is no stopping that train.

What is real to me is basic skincare with a few inexpensive "extras", eating pretty close to right and modest exercise, sometimes extra exercise and hydrating regularly.

@FLgardener

There is one vendor, a doctor, on one of the shopping networks who sells her line of skincare. I won't mention her name but at her practice she promotes HGH as an anti-aging treatment. I've read a few articles about that. When I look at her when she's on during a presentation, I wonder if she uses it herself. She looks many years younger than she is. She's blonde and speaks with an accent.

Re: Amino Acids and aging

[ Edited ]

@SilleeMee , I have an idea of whom you are talking about.

My thing will always fall short of injectables/knifeables. I seem to get the best skin results from topicals--such as retinol, etc.

BTW, awhile back, I recommended David Pollock's lines on ShopLC. You asked what I was using. Nightly, I am using The Lab 10 min. Vit. C peel, reversing retinol-a and Dark spot corrector--cocktailed at night, sleep in them. I know you are advanced, but these products, at 10 bucks for 2 oz each, are great for me.

A huge thing with me is exfoliation. Also, I am fortunate enough to have abundant sebum, nature's skin balm, much vilified.

I did notice the "reverse aging" tag on the retinol product.  That claim is proving to be true. I look forward to using the retinol products you have spoken of. I am still pretty much a beginner.

OMG, @SilleeMee , I am humbled in your presence. You are an inspiration.  To go through scleroderma and continue to give so much positivity, elevates you to sainthood in my mind.
