Does any one use them for prescription medications.

My m-i-l asked me to check into what it would cost her for her Eliquis from them but it doesn't give a price until you actually transfer the prescription and enter your insurance information.

Does anyone know if there is a way around that?

We are in another state and I don't want to get involved in a transfer, have something go wrong and she be without her medication.

@Mz iMac that just took me around in the same circle, lol!

My m-i-l is 95 years old and doesn't use a computer or the internet and never has.  She thinks I'm a whiz but I am going to have to tell her to get her other d-i-l or her son to do it for her.  I just don't want to be responsible and get blamed if something goes wrong.  BTW the other d-i-l only lives down the street.

@CelticCrafter

I went to the pharmacy and had them fill my husband's and when I went to pick it up, I handed them my debit card and they told me what it was $869 and I said "give me back my card."  I found I could get it cheaper through Express Scripts (we are retired military) so his doctor gave me a 2-week supply until we could get it from Express Scripts.  A friend tells me she gets hers in a different pharmacy in town for $795.  And yet another friend in another city, says it is $940.

@CelticCrafter you are making the right decision to turn this over to someone who lives closer.  Personally, I wouldn't use Amazon Pharmacy, and I am a big Amazon fan.  I started to one time, but I found out the same thing you did--I wouldn't find out the price until the transfer had been made.  And then I read on Reddit that people have all sorts of problems with it--it's hard to get the prescription transferred back out and also that there can be delays in getting the medication on time no matter what they say.  I read that it can come two or three days late even up to a week.  That is a no-go for me.  I read very few good things online, and I spent many hours reading reviews.

How could they possibly give you a price without knowing what your insurance will pay?  Is there a phone number to call?  Perhaps youn could get an estimate if you had the insurance allowance.

@Kachina624 they won't give a price until the prescription is actually  TRANSFERRED to them along with insurance information.  Would you blindly transfer a prescription?

Good luck trying to find a phone number for Amazon.
