I know I’m probably being ridiculous.

@Mindy D

No, you’re not.

You’re just....aware.

All media loves stories like this.

It’s a true story, but not the level of importance other stories should have.

This is timely...yesterday Bill Gates tweeted out a ‘Causes of Death’

attachment showing the disconnect of what we deem important

through impression, Google searches & news cycle

versus reality.  Stunning to see how we don’t talk about the

death causes which we can change & reverse...and save lives.

But that’s a whole ‘nuther topic for a whole ‘nuther thread.

Afraid of baby spinach? Not me!  I ate raw chocolate chip cookie dough this weekend and lived to tell about it.

You can either cook it, try to take it back to the store or throw it out if you're leery about it.

I eat frozen raw spinach in a smoothie daily for lunch, and a raw romaine/spinach salad each night for dinner.  Every day.

I have not considered it risky.

Nope, I won’t eat raw spinach anymore. I only but organic, and cook it.

@onlyshopsonline

But eColi recalls have been for organic.

And studies show you can not wash or cook eColi away.

So....

It’s been mention several times within this & numerous threads

on the subject....as well as mentioned in the links provided.

E-coli In spinach can be killed at cooking temperatures between 160-165 degrees.  That’s the same temperature required to kill it in ground beef.

Re: 🌿🌱

I used 8 cups of it last night in a pasta dish with shrimp; cooked it until it was wilted and then served it to family.

I wash, scrub any vegi or fruit served raw (even berries get a good soaking). Else, everything is cooked. Honestly, I don't even think about it.
