I know too many people to count who've mostly had knee replacement (I'm due soon) and some hip replacement.
It seems like the average age ranges generally between 60 and 70 years old.
I have put it off for years. Now it's really affecting my life. I have been in some very bad car accidents so I think it made it sooner than otherwise.
When the time comes (if it does) you'll know because you'll get to the point where you know it won't be easy but you want to get on with your life.
As my grandma used to say, "Don't borrow trouble" meaning don't worry about it too soon.

Oh well, Happy Day anyway! And you might be the winner here for most joint replacements....so that is truly something to celebrate!!!
Thanks,

I hope I don't jinx myself but I'll be 70 and have all original parts. No arthritis anywhere either. DH has all of his parts too. No arthritis either. Fingers crossed.
And while a know people who have had various replacemtents, I don't have any friends who have.

@Gram W wrote:If you have arthritis I hope that you are seeing a specialist. I saw arthritis in my hands and for 3 years. The rheumatologist gave me the devil for waiting so long. In his complete preworkup he discovered that I also have lupus.
May I ask, what specifically were your symptoms? I also have pains in my hands, but my primary care diagnosed me with osteoarthritis. I understand that there is no point in going to a rheumatologist if you have osteoarthritis. This has been very upsetting to deal with since I am so active with my hands. My primary hand hurts worse and is mostly swollen, especially in the joints.
