@I am still oxox  I too am in permanent AFib, as long as your heart rate stays down you do not have to be in rhythm. That being said, you do need to be on a blood thinner if you do  not want to stroke out. I would never risk not being on a blood thinner with AFib. You still need to  be on a blood thinner even if you have a procedure to put your heart back in rhythm, are you sure you are understanding the doctor. There is a procedure called Watchman that keeps the clotted blood from escaping the atrium and replaces the need for blood thinners though. Procedures like ablation and maze still do not guarantee you will stay in rhythm for any length of time so that's why you still need a blood thinner or the Watchman procedure.

I am in Afib all the time which is different than an "AFib" attack I go to a well know cardiologist who specilized in AFib and  he is fine with what I am doing, I have seen him for at least 5 years
