My machine is a little over two years old and some parts are supposed to be covered by manufacturer's warranty. Anyway, I watched the presentation earlier last week or so and I told my husband that I noticed a sound at the footbar. He checked the frame and it is cracked around the areas where it is screwed in on both sides. He also found some other defects such as the frame not being in correct alignment so that explained why I needed so many bushings b/c the cords kept fraying. He is an Engineer and knows about structural design so we emailed Stamina with photos and explanations about the photos. So, fellow owners check your machines. Hopefully, Stamina will cooperate and I will have the frame fixed. We have yet to hear from Stamina.

Something as serious as that and you only emailed Stamina? Why have you not followed up with a phone call to expedite this? If it were me, I would call them. I use my reformer 4-6 days a week and have no fraying of the cords. Hopefully mine is ok. What model do you have? I have the new 4 cord which I purchased in July 2014. Did you notice fraying of the cords from the very beginning or did it begin a year or two later?

We found the problem a little over a week ago and then emailed them. I plan to contact them next week. I never payed attention to the frayed cords until we were looking at the frame. I have a 5 cord machine and I use it every day. In the past Stamina has provided free cords and ropes, but the frame was something that I never expected. The cords have been frayed in the past and when I contacted Stamina they asked how often I used the machine, but they provided free bushings and cords.
