Anyone ever have abnormal EKG results and it end up being nothing? I went in for a physical and bloodwork this week and got ekg done, the dr said it was abnormal and sent me to a cardiologist the next day. The cardiologist said it did read abnormal and actually reads as if I've had an 'old' heart attack, meaning sometime in the past I've had one and didn't know it but he said he'd be very surprised to find that I have a heart problem or damage due to my health history, I'm pretty healthy other than having hypothyroidism and 50 yrs. old. Haven't had any major symptoms, last week two brief times had slight pain down left arm and that's what led me to mention to dr and got ekg. My dad had open heart surgery at 70 and always had high blood pressure problem but I've never had any blood pressure problems. I have to go next week for an ultrasound of heart and stress test. I was just wondering if EKG's can be wrong (I thought I asked dr. but can't remember now, guess I was so nervous at the time).
