The first ant-biotic he issued did nothing so that was time wasted.  I now have a new prescription that seems to be working.

@Lindsays Grandma

That is why during my 8 days in the hospital with Cellulitis, my Disease Specialist Doctors, put so many different IV Drip Antibiotics into my body.

I lost count, but I know at 1 time there were 3 different bags hooked into my IV Drip. They finally found 1, or maybe a combination of several, the got my hands swelling to start going down.

Hopefully what is working for you continues to do so. My best wishes to you with this issue.

Re: ANYONE FAMILIAR WITH CELLULITIS?

@hckynut ...You know, I was wondering if I would have been better off in the hospital with the IV.  I don't know if the healing would be quicker than just swallowing pills.  But on the other hand hospitals are swamped and I believe a greater place to get the Covid.

Anyway, I'll get there slow but sure.  Thank you for your good wishes. Heart

I have not read that a side effect to the vaccine is cellulitis.  Regardless, I would hope immunocomprised persons get it anyway - especially if that person has already suffered from covid.  I hope you feel better very soon.

I normally would say something here, but! Disagreements on said topic, not Cellulitis, might disappear this thread.

@Toppers...So far the swelling has gone down quite a bit as well as the redness.  It looks as though it is getting better but I'm keeping my eyes on it.  You can be sure if I notice anything new or different I will contact my doctor.

Thank you so much for everything you have written, It helps when someone shows they care.  You are very kind. Heart

Dealing with this kind of an infection can be really stressful and scary because it can get worse quickly.

I've had these types of infections get worse overnight where I ended up going to the ER the next day.

It's a burden that I wouldn't wish on anyone.

@hckynut ...I think I have an idea of what you were alluding to.  Thanks for not brining it up so that the thread will not be removed.
