It seems he won't have a TS on this, does anyone know?  I wish he would lower the price on this, also on Tumeric.

@artisto   That goes without saying.  If I wanted to buy from another source, I would, but I prefer Andrew's having tried others.

Re: ANDREW LESSMAN'S BERBERINE

I've been following this product and it has definitely come way down in price.

The 720 is $139.90 today which is very good.  He's never offerred these large sizes before.

You need 3-6 capsules a day for maximum benefit. 1-2 with each meal.  So it's either 240 (8 month supply) servings is you take 3 a day or 120 (4 month supply) if you take 6.

@VaBelle35   I have forgotten, is Berberine ever a Today's Special on HSN?  If so, do you know what month it would be?

Berberine is made from a plant called barberry shrub.  Berberine is extracted from the roots of the plant then purified into a white powder which is what you find in capsule supps.

I ingest raw barberry root extract which contains 70 to 80 percent berberine. It's a dark brown powder, has a nutty flavor and dissolves in water fairly easily. I put it directly in food.

Metformin was originally made from another plant root but has since been synthesised. Berberine and metformin have similar pharmacological actions on blood sugar with the exception of berberine's ability to regulate cholesterol levels.

No it has never been a TS since it came out, but the price has come way way way down since it first rolled out a couple of years ago.

I will google berberine, but can someone tell me what you personally use it for and if it helps?

I tried that product. I was only taking one per day. I started throwing up yellow stuff. I think it may have to do with my gallbladder issues??? I don't know.
