Did the doctor mention a shingles immunization?  That would be my foremost concern.

       Definitely!   Most insurers cover it now at age 50, it was 60.  However I got mine when I was 45 or so because two people I know got Shingles and they were no where near 60.  I was willing to pay for it myself but my insurer did pay for it.  It should be on the top of everyone's "must have" list when they have a physical, if they haven't had one.  Don't wait for your doctor bring it up.

@Group 5 minus 1. She gets a bill for this? I didn't. I was "welcomed to Medicare" (ha) 9 years ago. I see my Dr. every 3 months. In all that time, I pay my $10.00 co pay up front. I've never received any bill except for blood work from the lab which is 13.00.
Of course I realize everyone has different insurance.
