For the very rare ache I take aspirin. (I am forunate in that I have a very high tolerance for pain.) When a head or chest cold seems to be starting I take 1,000 units of natural vitamin C with rose hips and use Vick's Vapo rub. That knocks it out of me.
If my system is trending acidic I take apple cider vinegar in water to restore the Ph balance to more alkaline.
@aroc3435 I only take one med. For anything else, I have cured myself without going to a doctor, hoping this will continue, but the years are galloping along, lol.

@drizzellla wrote:I have the reminder sitting by my computer. It has been 5 years since my colostomy. When I had it done the Doctor's office said they would mail a reminder and they did.
I also get reminders from my Eye Doctor, for a mammogram, Dentist, Dermatologist and Gynecologist.
@drizzellla DH kept waiting for a second colonoscopy, but I nagged him to get it done, he did, and a largish growth was found, benign, but would have developed into something serious, after two very small five years earlier. Now, I will nag him to go after three years or sooner.

And something like a benign growth, I am so glad you nagged him. It sounds like he needs your extra "push".

@CrazyKittyLvr2 DH & I have exactly your same story. This November is when his surgeon will see him again for DH's next colonoscopy.
Call a couple of months ahead to make your DH's appointment. The Dr's office will not contact you trust me. Bob's surgeon works at The James here in Columbus OH, busy busy busy.
Yes for sure YOU make the call. I too am retired, you and I are still the caregivers, we continue to keep 'charge' of the situation.
The very BEST to you both. We know and do exactly what you folks do. We are just blessed we had a very talented surgeon who made DH cancer free as your's did too. Bless you both!

Well, I just got off the phone with Dr. office. The woman said they do have "a list".however, his name was not on it. She saw nothing on his chart either. Appt. is being made.
The difference between DH and I is he assumes if it's someones job it will get done like it should and I don't assume.
As I said earlier his memory is awful and I don't know if he would have even remembered the 3years is this fall.
At least it's done. when he was diagnosed I told him his only job was to get well I would take care of everything and I did. He felt pretty cra**y with the treatments and I felt he had enough to deal with so I was his "secretary" and made sure he got where he needed to be and got what he needed.
