Re: 8Greens tablets warning1

@GingerHead   Thanks! Not used to being sick in the middle of the night.

However, Big Learning, these 3 additives (all to sweeten the product) are forever on my AVOID list.

I can't believe 8Greens is still around.  Total waste of $$$ in my opinion and not as completely healthy as claimed.

@bargainsgirl + all

I suspect it's still around because there is actually NO VISIBLE WAY TO VERIFY ANY HEALTH IMPROVEMENT.

Not like a supplement, for example, that improves your skin, nails. Or a supplement that is supposed to lower your blood pressure (measurable). Or a diet that lowers your A1/blood sugar (measurable).

So, you have no evidence that it ISN'T working and most people feel some guilt about not eating enough vegetables/greens. You take something that eases that guilt, but have no way to test whether it is measurably affecting your health . . .

I found a fruit/veggie powder supp that I think is delicious. I buy this in the 100-serving ($59) size jar b/c that's how much I like it. Smaller jar is available, too. Take a look at the ingredients. No sweeteners yet it tastes sweet and it's 80% organic...I emailed the company to ask about the organic part.

If you don't care for "Berry" there are other flavors this company makes. I bought that berry from Amazon but I also bought a variety-pack from Amazing Grass website to sample some of their other flavors and decided I like the berry one the best. The variety pack is no longer available, however.

Because of my AI disease, I have issues with absorbing nutrients in my gut so that's why I like to add that fruit/veg powder to my diet. I believe it helps me get what I need to help complete my nutritional needs.

@SilleeMee

Now that's what I'm talking about! I like those ingredients much better and no troubling artificial sweeteners like you say.

I don't know why so many supplements include these sweeteners/ unhealthy additives.

I mean if I want yummy I'll eat candy.

I kind of equate that to fragrance in skincare...no need for that either. If I want fragrance I'll use a perfume.

I need to check that powder out.....thanks!

Yes @1Professor my husband and I had the same negative experience when we tried the gummies.

There are reviews online at the Q with the same results. I should have looked more closely at them before buying.

Good news is QVC will reimburse you. 🤗🤗🤗

Off topic - had the same reaction for 9 hours after taking Paxlovid for Covid. Called my Dr. the next day and I was told it can have that side effect. Gee, thanks for telling me in advance! I threw the rest out!
