The American Rescue Act has been signed. Middle class and poor people will get monetary relief. About half of the children in poverty will be lifted out of poverty. About 11/2 million people a day are getting vaccinated now. I am hopeful that we never have to live another year like 2020. Get your vaccine when it is your turn.

If gas keeps going up the middle class and poor people will need that money to fill up their cars and buy food, because we all know food will be the next thing that goes right thru the roof.

The Relief Act has a 75% approval with the American people. Once they start getting paid, which could be as early as this weekend,it will be even more popular. They will spend the money which will in turn help the economy. There are hungry desperate people who will be helped rather than millionaires who do not need more tax cuts.

What do you recommend to reduce gas prices? Demand is going to go back up as people get back to work and businesses reopen.

Re: 2020 was the Deadliest Year in U.S. History

The fact is that nobody knows what's coming.  Some are pessimistic, some aren't, some cautious about the future.

There are gigantic questions about the economy, and a lot of other issues, including what happens with the virus.  Seems like it would be more prudent and helpful to exchange ideas without mocking people, listen even if you don't believe it, and keep an open mind as we go forward.

You can make statistics say anything or prove any argument depending on what you include and leave out, and how you manipulate the information.  We all know that.

No matter what people think around here, and it varies widely, I think we all have things to gain from one another along the way.

Sorry to break it to you but there are worse things coming.

With all the loss, isolation and sorrow, what worse scenario are you imagining?

Why do you need to do that?

Re: 2020 was the Deadliest Year in U.S. History

As with any statistics, it is all how you look at them.  Raw numbers without perspective and used for random comparison are decieving. Actually if you look at deaths as a percentage of the total population there have been many years that are much " deadlier".

Someday, when scientists discover the center of the Universe....some people will be disappointed it is not them.
