I'd like to see the data on how many in the healthcare field such as Doctors , Nurses, Psychiatrists , Resp Therapists, Radiology techs , physical therapists, health tech workers , EMT's and Paramedics actually have been vaccinated . At first many doses were being held back for all those that I mentioned , but who were refusing the vaccine and not showing for their appointments . Of course we will never see that data . Now there are hospital employees suing a Texas hospital who says they require healthcare workers to be vaccinated or they will be terminated.

My state's at 40%, a valid reason to not be celebrating...

Has anyone thought abt how quickly this vaccine was produced. Has anyone thought of the millions of dollars that the pharmaceutical companies have made off these vaccines ???
@skatting44 Yes I have and it makes me nervous about any potential long term problems down the road.....as of right now they just don't know.
Those companies are making BILLIONS....many billions of $$$$. All the more reason to make sure that their product is out there for them.

@skatting44 When my Doctor asked last month if I got the vaccine I told her no not yet. She said she felt obligated to get hers as she is with patients all day long. I believe her as she also told me a few years ago she won't get colonoscopies as her friend had serious consequences from one.

My state is not doing well either. It's a red state, the governor has always promoted super spreaders and conspiracy theories.
@CalminHeart I am in MO and it's not good.
In Missouri, 42% of the state has received at least one dose. 35% of Missouri's population has been fully vaccinated.

Very true @RetRN . Our state is stuck at 48% and the needle won't move even with incentives. I wish all the doses that are about to expire could be shipped to some countries that would use them.

Great news for those states Mine will never get there. I am vaccinated but I still keep my distance because it is what makes me feel the most comfortable.

I appreciate the posting, but depending on the source, statistics can vary. Numbers on Covid have been sketchy overall, so not relying on reports from mainstream media. Numbers can be skewed to bring needed results.
I'm just glad cases are getting dropping.

I believe the discrepancies that you are disagreeing over are probably whether you’re looking at statistics for the entire state population (all ages) or adults only. I’ve seen several posts that aren’t noticing this distinction
For example, in CA it is currently approx 56% (all ages) with at least one shot. Approx 60% for 18-49. 75%+ for 50 and over. If you look at zip code, numbers may vary greatly from the state overall numbers.
From the state tracker site.
Which goes to the point so many have tried to make all along...statistics can be manupliated to prove any point. Want high vaccination numbers .... don't count children. Want low numbers ..... count total population. Want even lower numbers..... add an estimate for those who may not have been counted. People love to go with the headlines without really understanding what they actually mean. Then argue with other about "sources"

What's the fully vaccinated percentage?
Saying 13 states have reached 70% of at least ONE shot is barely over a quarter of the states...
Not impressed.
