unexpected salon visit :-)

[ Edited ]

Hello ladies -

I had to fly out to LA area for a bit of business and ended up with some free time Friday afternoon, so I just drove around doing what I wanted to do.  One of those things was to go to the salon.  I'd never been before and, like others, it was on my bucket list.  It was dark by the time I got there, so I can't give the best description, but as others have said, it is very zen and peaceful.  It has such a good vibe and everybody is so nice.

I went to the product area and smelled and tested to my heart's delight.  Unfortunately, I couldn't buy anything because I only travelled with a carry on and didn't want to risk confiscation.  But maybe that's a good thing for my credit card.

All of the 319 products were there.  I tried the 319 UNBT, which I've tried in 613, but not 319. I know different folks smell different things..I thought It had a really nice natural smell..the predominant smell to my nose was ginger, although the overall smell is very faint.  I imagine the cc won't have much scent at all in the shower.  There wasn't a cc open, so I can't give any impression as to menthol scent.

Then I went to the PJP.  I have so much CC that I wasn't planning on ordering this one, but wow, it's irresistible.  I love this soft, lovely scent.  It's floral, but not too feminine, if that makes sense.  I got home today and ordered while Chaz was on the air.  I'm joining the ranks of those begging for oil, sc, bcc, bl, etc.  But most of all I'd love to have this in a perfume.

Speaking of perfume, I tried all the fragrances, which was a real treat.  I have 613 (love), but had never smelled WCC, Toasted Sweet Almond or Cucumber Basil Tea.  All were wonderful smelling, but the one that surprised me (that I also plan to order) was the Cucumber Basil Tea.  I was intrigued by this one when it was presented, but for some reason I was able to resist.  It's so hard to describe, but overall it's light, fresh, clean and slightly herbaceous (but not too much so...sometimes that's a negative for me but it is pleasant and in perfect balance in this perfume).  I sprayed some on a card so I could smell it again when I got home today.  My best friend smelled it, too, and also loved it.  I should add that I Like scent of the CA CC, but don't care for the scent of the oil; however, to me this was an entirely different scent from CA.

After I left the salon, I couldn't stop smelling my hands and arms (if other drivers looked in my car at stoplights, I must have looked like a complete goofball).  The EDPs had really good staying power (I never seem to have a problem with that, but I knew you'd want to know).

I had such fun with this unexpected trip and since I've always appreciated it when other Wenners share their experiences,  I thought I'd share mine.  I hope everybody who wants to gets to visit someday!

@posterchild  Nice Ms.PC - to check off one of your favs from the bucket list is a very good thing as Ms (Martha) Stewart would say.

I for one will more than likely never make it to the west coast for any reason.  To live and enjoy your experience, I live vicariously through you.  Sounds wonderfully cool.

I bet that was wonderful!  I would love to spend time investigating the EDPs!  My credit card may not, though. I'm glad you enjoyed your visit!!!

@posterchild

Sounds wonderful!

You are very strong!  I KNOW I would have succumbed at least to another Tee - No problem with confiscation of clothes!

Happy for you that you got to go!

@posterchild that sounds like a very nice visit, thanks for sharing with us! I am hoping to eventually visit. I would love to be able to just go in and sniff everything, especially the perfumes.
I wish Chaz would include perfume samples in our orders once in awhile, like those little vials we get with Sephora orders or other freebies you get sometimes. Wouldn't that be awesome?

@posterchild thank you for your sharing the trip with us! What a pleasure! I hope you enjoy all the new prizes you get. I know it must have been tough to leave the salon empty handed, but I'm glad you were able to get some awesome things via the Q.

@posterchild  Thanks so much for posting about your visit I so enjoyed reading about your day.  Thanks so much also for giving me a better description of the edp's.  I haven't tried any of the seasonals yet but am very intrigued by CA.

@posterchild Thanks for telling us all about your visit. I can only imagine the peaceful vibe in the courtyard there. I also was intrigued by Cucumber Basil EDP and got it when it came up. I feel the same way about it. So balanced and fresh. Congrats on a great end to your trip!
