I used about a dime size of the cleansing conditioner as a leave in on soaking wet hair. I follow with 1 pump of the styling creme while my hair is still soaking wet. I really rake and twist it into my hair. I find that the styling creme helps my hair to retain moisture. It also protects my hair from the heat of the blow dryer. It adds manageability and shine to my hair. It does not add but a very light hold. If you want more hold, I would suggest to still use the styling creme, but follow with the mousse or mix the volumizing treatment spray to your styling creme.
