I got my WRC this week and finally used the cc today.  I agree with how others have described it -- tart berry and "green" (although I don't get Pine or Balsam -- don't know if it's the geranium leaf) with maybe a very small hint of Rose.  The scent isn't overpowering or very strong, as some are.  I'm not into florals and I like the scent based on first impression.  Will have to see what I think after I've used it awhile.

Re: Winter Red Currant

I received my WRC CC in my TSV and have used it the past two days.  So far, I think this is the most moisturizing CC! Even more so than FIG!  I would say it's most comparable to SMC, though SMC and FIG have a tendency to weigh my hair down.  WRC does not weigh my hair down and leaves it light, but I am finding it makes my hair almost too soft to hold a style.  Seasonals typically dry my hair out, and cores (wheat) give my hair moisture, so WRC is an unexpected surprise in the moisture department!  😊

ETA:  I find the scent very light and somewhere between a soft floral and clean scent--I like it!

I received my ad's as well .  When I first sniffed from bottle it did smell like Christmas to me.  Today I put a little on my hand to let it breath and I definitely smell the geranium leaf for sure.  That's what some are mistaking for pine or balsam.  I cannot wait to try it in a few days to check out its performance.  I'm hoping it's as wonderful as FVWP.

@BExplorer  I'm glad the WRC works so well for your hair. It's funny how different our results are. For me the moisture level is just okay but the most moisturizing seasonals for me are FWVP and SMC. I used to get that weighed down feeling with SMC sometimes but thankfully I haven't experienced that lately.

@ANewHue  I used to have geraniums in the yard but never thought to smell the leaves so I guess that explains why I thought it was pine. Cat Happy

@HSB1204  My mother always buys red geraniums for me to plant that's how I recognized it.   I'm sure it's going to be another winner but I really like WCM as well.

That is funny our results are so different with WRC as I thought we were hair twins ☺️!  I have never used a CC so moisturizing AND without weighing my hair down.  There were absolutely no tangles when I blow dried, either, and that doesn't happen with other CCs. Just soft, silky, light hair!  I'm not sure if it will become a staple, though, since it made my hair kind of too soft.  Such problems...😆

@BExplorer  Yeah, in this case our hair apparently decided to be hair opposites. Cat Tongue I'm not done with my 16 oz. WRC bottle yet so I'll see if my results change. Having no tangles after blow drying would be amazing! I can barely think of tangles without my my hair tangling!

I finally got this in the CC.  As I posted previously, QVC sent me the wrong 3 piece kit, so all I got were styling products in this and I they smelled sickeningly sweet to me.

The CC is not that way at all.  I would describe it right out of the bottle as a tart berry, with a sharp finish.  Not floral, not mint, not citrus, not spicey.

I will see how it smells when it  hits water.

I *finally* got my 16 oz WRC today in my fall TSV A/D kit, after it shipped on December 23rd.  I was beginning to think it had been stolen, it was floating around there so long!  I haven't tried it yet, but barring a disaster, this new seasonal may rocket to #2 in my favorites list, nearly neck&neck with WVM.  I rubbed the tiny amount from inside the foil liner on my wrists to warm up, and got an immediate, powerful hit of roses, no fruit, no "wintery" smell, just rosey florals.  Now since I adore roses, this is a very good thing!  I hope the performance is as good as WVM, and that some 32oz bottles come back in stock with Chaz when he comes back so I can order a couple, this would be a spring/summer CC for me!
