I received my SC yesterday, so I have the CC, RTM and SC in the WRC. I have so much oil, that I need to use up, so I won't be buying that this year.

I love the green scent and I think it could read as balsalm. I think Chaz said it was geranium greens, but I would be hard pressed to describe the difference. I smell the rose and tart berries as well. I cannt pick up any citrus notes in this bottle. I have had bottles smell slightly different in the past.

I liked the FWVP, but I love this one. I like it abd the WCM the best of the winter varieties.

I received my TSV in record time, so I finished up a FGP the other day and decided today I would open WRC and give it a good try by itself.

I was not blown away by the fragrance, it didn't strike me as "sexy" or "intoxicating" like some others have described it. Definitely a tart berry with green notes that are quite prevalent. I don't really smell rose except very faintly. I wasn't sure I liked it at first, but it is growing on me. It is deceptively complex.

I used it alone for both my first and second cleanse, and I followed up by using one pump on the ends as a leave in. I skipped my weekend remoist as I have a lot of things going on and didn't feel like there was time.

I really love the performance of this formula! It is creamier than WWC, which I didn't like. Its definitely not as moisturizing as FTP, or MIF, which are a few of my very favorites. However, I don't need as much moisture as I used to, and this formula was the perfect amount.

Definitely a winner, to me!

Re: Winter Red Currant

[ Edited ]

Received half of my WRC order today and I LOVE the scent. Definitely detect a green scent and to me it smells a lot line a fresh Christmas wreath with those berries on top, so pine is the green scent? A slight floral scent, maybe some powder? Dislike the strong flowery scents but this one doesn't bother me at all because its so subtle.  Before WRC, my favorite winter scent was WCM, think the two remind me of one another.

The way the scent of WRC is described by several make me think I will truly dislike it. Pine and light floral together doesn't sound appealing. I just pushed back my Sept TSV A/D since I am not even excited to try this one anymore.

I received the WRC styling products and treatment oil. I like the scent but not enough to add it to my favorites list. Some said they could detect a hinto of floral, which is why I bought it, but I can't pick up any hint of floral. Of all the winter scents, WVM is my #1, followed by WWC, WRC & lastly WCM.

Maybe this was answered elsewhere, but I am not very good at gleaning the forums.

How come the winter CCs aren't being offered much, especially WRC? I saw the 32 oz bottle for maybe a day or two, but it was WVM and WWC then POOF! All gone. I have a lot of oil, so the 16 oz with the oil and comb wouldn't be of much use to me.

I don't mind buying from Chaz's website, but I like shopping through QVC to get multiple items at once.

@tenaciousc The 32oz Winter CCs sold out quickly. I think I read somewhere that more should be available in January.

My first impression of Winter Red Current cc was one of recognition. I know this! It's in my garden!

If you crush the leaves and stems of geranium together with crushed bergamot leaf, (two powerful scents) you'll get the dominant green note in WRC.

Some have mistaken that for either pine or balsam, which it's definately not.

I will confess the scent also reminds me very much of a men's grooming product, a scent memory from my youth. It made me wonder if Chaz likewise has a childhood memory of an older male who smelled like this.

I first used WRC CC last night, 2nd cleanse & leave in. The fragrance became much more subtle once the cc was out of the bottle.

My hair likes it, which makes it the only winter formula I can use.

More importantly, I used it with the Clairsonic and my face likes it too! Side effects from meds give me facial skin issues that stumped the dermatologist, but the Wen seasonals containing honey are helping my skin tremendously. YEA Wen!

Even the 16 ozs are gone now. QVC really should have brought in the Winter gallons.
