@Jen44, you had asked me for more detailed feedback on Wen Men CC and so here it is. So last weekend, I did a serious all Wen Men CC and took some mental notes.
My hair love the the bamboo water/extract and the amino acid complex, both of which are in Wen Men (as well as the added skin care ingredients, honey complex, and Four Tea Complex). -- Mandarin Italian Fig (MIF) is my favorite CC, also has these ingredients and both formulas are rice-based.
___
Wen Men hair results
I was very happy with the with the results that I got with Wen Men. -- I still prefer MIF, but the Wen Men results were similar to those I get with Bamboo Green Tea (BGT) and BGT is among my top 3-4 CC choices. -- BGT is also rice-based and includes all of the special ingredients mentioned above.
In general, the amino acid complex helps to strengthen my baby fine hair. -- The bamboo water seems to strengthen it while also adding a bit more body.

Wen Men scent
I love the Wen Men scent which I'd describe as an unisex oriental scent.
On Chaz's website it says that Wen Men is infused with Amber, Bamboo, Cardamom adn Ginger Root extracts.
If you haven't tried an oriental scent before, then it's hard to really understand the description. Oriental scents are sensual, mysterious, spicy and sexy... and if they're done badly, they just stink. -- Chaz has done a sensational job of creating a sophistocated oriental scent that should appeal to both men and women (it's not an easy feat).
Two of the oriental perfumes I use are Obsession (by Calvin Klein) and Shalimar (by Guerlain). These are definitely nighttime perfumes and probably more for intimate situations... and not so much for a crowded room. -- Two other orientals that I like reasonably well but don't own are Opium and Tuscany (sort of an Oriental).
Years ago, a good male friend of mine used to wear either an Hermes or Chanel oriental scent that sort of reminds me of the Wen Men scent. -- I love this scent, but it was definitely for a man. -- I'm amazed that Chaz was able to create this Wen Men scent that should appeal to both men and women who like oriental scents.
If you don't know what an oriental scent is, then I'd recommend that you drop by a department store (such as Macy's or Nordstroms) and try some samples from their perfume counters.
Since I really like the Wen Men scent, I was really happy to find that it had staying power. -- The first day, I could smell the scent on my hair (if I made an effort to). And on the second day, if I picked up a piece of my hair and sniffed it, I could still smell the scent. -- I mention this because, if you don't want the scent to linger, then this might be something to consider.
The Wen Men Oil has a somewhat different smell than the Wen Men CC. -- While the Wen Men Oil does have oriental notes in it, I can also smell a cypress note as well but it's difficult to describe. -- I prefer the the Wen Men CC scent but, since I really like cypress scents, I also like the Wen Men Oil.

QVC has two great values on Wen Men Cleansing Conditioner right now
* WEN by Chaz Dean Men's 32 oz. Cleansing Cond. w/ Travel Box -- SALE PRICE (maybe just through June) -- $54.60 w/ free S&H
This is an amazing value and so it's a really great time to try Wen Men. -- The 32oz Wen Men CC regularly sells for $58 at QVC.
In contrast, this total of 48oz Wen Men CC kit sells for $54.50 plus free S&H... so 32oz from this kit would cost $36.33... and 16oz of Wen Men CC would be $18.17... plus free S&H... it really is an amazing value.
This current Wen Men CC kit is Sale Priced which means that this special value is only available for a very limited time. -- I'd expect the price to go up by the end of June.
* WEN by Chaz Dean Men's Cleansing Conditioner & Treatment Oil (Auto-Delivery option also available) -- 32oz CC & 4oz Treatment Oil -- $79.86
If you like to have a selection of Wen Men Treatment Oils, then this kit is a great value as well. The Wen Men 4oz Oil isn't currently available for purchase at QVC but, when it was it was priced at $62.
Note: The Wen Men Oil has a somewhat different smell than the Wen Men CC. -- While the Wen Men Oil does have oriental notes in it, I can also smell a cypress note as well but it's difficult to describe. -- I prefer the the Wen Men CC scent but, since I really like cypress scents, I also like the Wen Men Oil.

My favorite Wen Cleansing Conditioners
I should mention that I have baby fine, porous hair and that my hair loves Chaz's bamboo water and 11 amino acid complex. -- Here's my regular routine:
* First Cleanse -- Mandarin Italian Fig (from the rice-based, bamboo water, and amino acids Restorative line)... and probably soon 319 CC (soy-based with amino acids on steroids) are my "go to" CCs.
* Second Cleanse choices -- the Seasonal of the Moment (I use all twelve of them), Bamboo Green Tea, 613, or Wen Men
My hair does fine with the rice-based Wen Kids CCs, but my hair does better with the other rice-based formulas (Restoratives & Wen Men)... because the special extra key ingredients are great for my hair. -- My hair also does fine with the Classic formulas, but again prefers the soy-based Seasonals and 613/319 CCs because the last two also have extra key ingredients added in them.
Some Wenners have felt that the rice-based CCs can be a bit drying, but that hasn't been the case for me.

How I cleansed my hair last weekend (info for Jen44 *s*)
To make sure I got the full Wen Men CC effect, I first primed my dry hair with Wen Cleansing Conditioner (using Wen Men, of course) for about an hour before cleansing my hair. -- I have baby fine, porous hair and so I always get better results if I either do an overnight Wen Oil treatment or prime my hair with Wen CC for between 2 minutes to 1 hour before I cleanse my hair. -- This process allows either Wen CC or Oil to permeate my hair shaft, as opposed to water... which results in less frizz.
Then I used my Wen Men for both cleanses. Since I don't have Wen Men styling products, my leave-in was Wen Men CC, followed by 613 styling Creme, followed by 612 Moussie moo (the 613 styling products give my hair it's best results).
___
Jen44, I hope this information helps you decide on whether or not you think your son would like Wen Men.
Best of luck!!!

P.S. @77yangya and @FleaMktQn, I know you are both Wen Men fans and it would be great if you both could share your perspectives as well.

@bebe777 Too funny! Thanks so much for sharing your experience/opinion!! I ordered two of the Wen 32 oz bottles with the 16 oz travel packs. I got them yesterday and used it for a double-cleanse this morning. Funny how we all react to things differently. I love the scent and the performance. My hair hates BGT, but loves MIF. Go figure! Wen Men performs more like MIF does on me. Now, I'm trying to decide if I should buy a couple more of these kits, which worked out to like $19.33 per 16 oz. for me. Thanks again!!!

Wow! That was great bebe! Oh boy, do I love Wen Men. That is my go to and most favorite CC. I keep the styling creme but I get that at Chaz's site. It's only 28.00 and to me that's not bad. I've asked Chaz to put it in a pump bottle instead of a tube. When I first saw Chaz offer Wen Men CC and describe it I knew immediately I'd love it and I did! It's a scent that just encircles you in this gentle, soft......way back.....scent that makes you feel so calm but at the same time sophisticated. I've never tried anything so beautiful and you're so right, bebe, that is hard to accomplish but Chaz did it! I used to be in love with the scent Hanae Mori. That was years ago and it kind of changed but Wen Men is so different. The oil is a bit different in that the woodsy aspect of it is top note but as it settles in the other notes come into play but the CC is a bit different, yes. They both are my top favorite. The styling creme to me is just like the CC. It has that soft, heady scent that has ginger and vanilla and some other notes but they all work so perfectly together. I always say it plays on the senses. It does for me. I always hope Chaz would make a kit with a RTM so I can spritz it all over me. I'm gonna try what you do. Apply Wen Men CC an hour before cleansing with it. I use the oil over night and on my body too. I got the kit with the packetts in it too. Great post as always, bebe! XO
