Re: Wen - November Chat 2015

I've missed conversations on here, so apologies for just jumping in with a new topic. I just wanted to update you all on my Mom's Wen journey. Well, she has now been using it for a few months. She is 70, but still have hair to her shoulders and it is always nice. Her last Wen bonus was a friend saying her hair looked at least 10 years younger. Well, recently, her life long STICK STRAIGHT hair has gotten a WAVE in it. A wave - at 70! She always air dries and pin curls, but this time just air dried with no pin curls. It was WAVY and apparently really nice ( I didn't see it). She was also able to go an extra day without cleansing. Her mind is pretty much blown.

@bebe777 I saw her tonight. It looks AMAZING. The waves all down her hair were like a whole different thing. I'm happy for her. She still works full time and stays active, so looking good matters. It is a good legacy to inherit.

@yisbuff2 Sounds like Wen is really doing wonders for your mom's hair. Cat Happy I've also always had stick straight hair and I'm also getting a slight wave. I have to admit that I just haven't had the patience to deal with it so far and it's so little that it basically makes me look like a frizz ball more than anything so I still keep it straight.

@HSB1204 I completely understand that approach! I sometimes get the fuzz halo as well! Are you an SC person? I tried the trick of adding more and it helped.

@yisbuff2 Yes, I tried using more SC but I'm still having a hard time controlling the new hair growth. Oh well, hopefully it'll eventually be long enough that it'll following my orders more. Cat Happy

@HSB1204 may it grow more quickly than ever! I've got new baby hairs in the upper left hand corner of my part and it makes me irrationally happy. Haha.

[ Edited ]

Just bought my first professional hair dryer!! Folica had a 25% sale and went for it. Pricey but makes no sense to spend tons of money on hair care products and keep using my cheap $30 dryer. SIL (she's a hairdresser) recommend the original Solano for my hair type and saw that it was recommended on here as well. She only uses Solano or occasinally a CHI. So purchased a Solano original, SIL said it was good for fine hair. Never put much effort into a good technique for blow drying but think the new dryer will make a difference. Excited and now need to watch videos on how to get that beautiful blowout.

@yisbuff2 Agreed! I'm happy to see the new hair growth - if it only it would lay down and behave! Cat Very Happy

@segrl21 I have the Super Solano and love it! I've been air drying my hair for months now but it's starting to get chilly and since I have to get up for work I'll probably start using the hair dryer again.
