Re: Wen Monthly Chat - May 2020

@SurferWife Oh, I remember you mentioning a long time ago about him being on a paddle board. Could have been 2-3 years ago? Not sure, but I vaguely remember that.

Perhaps Toby could get his own QVC post account and tell us what it is like in his world, especially when you show a photo of him after he has been prettied up! Or I guess I need to say when he is all handsome and fluffy (not sure if he thinks pretty is a girl word!). Heart

Re: Wen Monthly Chat - May 2020

Hi ladies.....I have been doing really good with my POM and the seasonals.  No scalp issues for me....ever since I started using the products correctly based on another thread here about 1 month or so now.

Today I colored my hair....4 wks ago I only tried doing my roots...and it worked out pretty good to get by.  So I was in need to do it again as alot of gray and terrible over all color fading had been going on for months.

This was only my 2nd time coloring my hair so I was nervous as heck!  Well I have to say getting it on was the biggest challenge...then getting it thur my ends.  I left it on longer this time as recommended for resistant gray hair.

I am please to say my hair is a nice light brown....not bozo orange which is what my hair LOVES to pull.  No scalp reaction to this drugstore box dye which is so surprising to me!  Even at the salon they have to use special stuff to help as my scalp likes to get abit red.  Not always just sometimes.

I am thinking....just guessing here...but my scalp has been more calm since I started only using the WEN products.

Also this box dye was the only one I found that didn't have intense fragrance in it.  It is so light I can't even smell it.

So today I used a combo of the POM and seasonals to cleanse and left on for extra time...then rinsed really well and added back in some seasonal.  Nothing else...just wanted good moisture going back in my hair after coloring it today.

Hair feels lite....and is shiny and healthy looking.  Everything went really well.  Not sure how long I can go without a hair cut before it becomes a hot mess but hoping by June 1st salons will be back open by then.

Just felt like sharing....as I am newbie to this.  Woman Very Happy

@tsavoriteSo glad your new routine is working...Smiley Happy Wen is wonderful.

I color my roots at home on a reg basis, but yes it takes a bit of getting down

what works for you..I get my color at Sally's beauty supply & buy the developer & color seperatley. I mix two colors together & only use the volume 10 strength developer as my scalp is very sensitive. (I use the ION brand they sell)... Smiley Happy

@quadmimi  I have heard others on the beauty forum saying good things about the ION color line from Sally's.  When this lock down ends I will have to go up to my local shop and see what they have.  I am just not sure about how much neutral too add to the other color to get the right gray coverage.  That's why I did a box color....seemed easier for me.

I did it! I took a pair of scissors and whacked off my hair. Could NOT stand it anymore. LOL!

I ordered professional scissors from Amazon. I figured I would just do a little snip here and a little snip there. I ended up doing a little more than a snip. Looking from the front, it doesn't look too bad; but it is very hard to cut in the back when you can't see what you are doing. So that is definitely not good, but I've seen worse.

@SurferWife  Know what you mean about feeling so much better after getting the hair cut. That's all I cared about. Am glad I don't deal with coloring my hair. My sister has already colored her hair since this all started, but her pointy-pixie lays very flat now. LOL!

I am quite sure when I finally am able to get to the salon that the first thing that will be said is: "What were you thinking?"

@World Traveler

Fabulous!  I'm so glad to hear you feel better.  I admit the only hair I'm willing to cut is my eyebrows, with those little bitty eyebrow scissors...LOL!  I do have to keep those in line; otherwise, I start to channel Don King.

Have a wonderful Saturday!  Let the laundry & ironing (yes, I'm on of those ironing freaks) begin!  My housekeeper is due in about an hour.  Bless her heart; I am only one of two clients that have kept her employed through this, but I won't digress into that conversation.

P.S.  June gallons is just around the corner!  I'm thinking of TT & SMM!

Re: Wen Monthly Chat - May 2020

@SurferWife Well, not sure how wonderful my Saturday is, as I got inspired to deep clean the family room, which has a whole wall of shelves full of books! I am up and down a ladder, and then saw how awful the ceiling fan is with dust. UGH!

Funny about the eyebrows and Don King. LOL!

I was hoping Chaz would have a show here or there this month, but I don't see anything mentioned on his Facebook page. So, June it is.

Speaking of gallons, I have been getting such great deals on his double or trio of 32-ounce classics this past year, I have the Tea Tree with the styling cream on auto-delivery and I think it came out better price-wise than getting the gallon. He usually does something once a year with the 32-ounce that makes it worthwhile. So I will have to check my stash, but I believe I have three full 32-ounce bottles of TT. And I suppose my Mango Coconut is gone for good; that's why I got the gallon he sold last year.

@World Traveler

I hear ya' about the duo & trio of 32 oz.  Because of the fragrance sample this last time I couldn't order the TSV.  So, I will take advantage of the TT gallon this year.

Happy Mother's Day to all of you WEN mothers! Heart

From Chaz:

Happy Mother’s Day to my mom Joan, who adopted me at birth and raised me until she passed away from cancer, 2/5/01.

I am so grateful for the life she gave me and I feel so fortunate that she was able to meet my birth mother, Millie, in September 1998, prior to her passing.

Also,  Happy Mother’s Day to my birth mother Mille who brought me into this world. I am so grateful I sought her out and found her on August 13th, 1998.

Thank you for giving me life and unconditional love.
