@ChynnaBlue I had only wanted to use this about once a week as something special to put in my hair. I didn't realize you could do it as an overnight treatment. Do you just put it on your wet hair and put a cap on?

I can't sleep with wet hair. If I do an overnight treatment, I make sure I shower late afternoon or early evening so that my hair is dry before I go to bed. Sometimes I put a cap on and other times I just clip it up for the first hour and then let it down to dry the rest of the way. Usually I just use the clip.

In the morning, I get my hair wet, massage the treatment in, and rinse. I don't re-wash my hair the morning after an overnight 613 or Remoist treatment, I just rinse and then add my leave-in and styling products.

613 alone usually makes my hair dry, so I can only use it occasionally.  When I do, I  mix it with another CC.  Since you say your hair is protein sensitive, does the overnight treatment give you different results?  Thanks!

Choosing to  use the 613 overnight vs just in the shower has nothing to do with my protein sensitivity. Protein treatments bother my hair if I repeat them over time. I once had a deep conditioner I loved so much, I used it every day instead of weekly, as directed in the instructions. Over time, the consistent exposure to too much protein made my hair brittle and I had a lot of breakage. Now I'm very cautious about using protein treatments as every day conditioners.

Using 613 in the shower and washing it out is great, but leaving it on longer gives it more time to penetrate. You can leave it on for 20 minutes or 45 minutes and get the same results as an overnight treatment, but I'm not going to leave it on in the shower for 20 minutes and I have too many things I need to get done to make time to get in the shower 45 minutes after I get out. Leaving it in overnight makes more sense for me.

I used 613 for the first time last night.  I don't see any difference between 613 and the seasonals as far as performance.  I did mix it with SMC (slightly more 613 than SMC) and used it on the length of my hair with TT on my scalp.

Honestly, my hair looks nor feels any different than with just SMC.  I guess that's good because 613 costs more! I had a 16 oz bottle that I got in a TSV quite a while ago and decided to finally try it. I don't care for the scent, so it just sat (had tried the SC and didn't like the smell so I never opened the CC).

I will use it up, but won't repurchase.

It might depend on hair type. My hair is very dry and I notice a huge difference between the seasonals and the 613 but not much difference between the seasonals and the regular cleansers. I really only buy the seasonals because if I had to use the same Fig scent every time I showered for years, I'd go crazy with boredome.

I love it with Fig, since Fig is so moisturizing it balances the moisture/protein combo.

I also use it as a facial cleanser and replace box color conditioner with 613.

Re: Wen - How do you use 613?

A pump of 613CC mixed in with my MIF or BGT is a true winner...MIF is great alone, but BGT for sure needs the 613 mix for my hair..and always the 613 SC, even my Hub can't stand it if we run out of 613SC....Smiley Happy

Re: Wen - How do you use 613?

I don't use 613 very often for cleansing but do have great results using it as my leave-in.  Not sure why but I have been doing this more often lately with good results.  Since I have a good supply of 613, I will continue to use it as my leave-in.

I just got the 613 CC that I've been waiting on, along with the 613 styling creme. My initial thoughts were to use it with another CC instead of using it for both cleanses. I haven't actually used one scent for 1st cleanse and another for the 2nd before, but I have mixed them in my palm (MIF and Fig) and used that for both cleanses.

My question is, how do you best like to use 613? By itself? Mixed with another scent and if so, which ones? I currently have in stock Fig, Pom and SHP and wondered which might be best to mix the 613 in with to make it last a little longer since it's so much more expensive than the other Wen that we currently have.

What are your thoughts and feelings on 613? How do you use it and if you would, share your experiences, good and bad!

Beautoxica, I had to laugh when I read your post because, in the beginning, 613 seemed so much more expensive than the other CCs... but actually, that's just not true!!!

At one point I did a cost comparison between 613 CC and the Classic CCs (that was way before the Seasonals came around). Because 613 CC is more concentrated, you use fewer pumps per cleanse. When I did a cost per cleanse comparison -- and you know I did Smiley Wink -- for the 32oz size, it turned out that using 613 CC was less expensive than using the Classic CCs (SAM, TT, FIG, LAV, POM & CA). I used the 32oz size because the price variance was smaller: 32oz 613 CC was $61, while the 32oz Classic formulas were $49.50.

Of course, I never do purchase the individual products... I always wait for the very best TSV or OTO prices. With the exception of the annual December (5) 16oz bottle CCs for $80 -- which break down to $16 per 16oz bottle -- all the other special values will provide equivalent values for both 613 CC and the Classic CCs. --- So don't treat the 613 CC from your TSVs ar though it was a rare commodity. Use it freely!!!

And since you (hopefully) purchased the March 613 TSV auto-delivery plan, you can order more of it if you run out. That TSV came with 32oz BGT (or MIF) CC as well as a 16oz bottle of 613 CC. -- From my personal observations (and from what I've read), if you like 613 CC then you'll like the BGT (or MIF) CC. Personally, I like BGT even more than 613 for my naturally thin, fine, lifeless hair. My hair will take all the amino acid complex that Wen products can throw at it.

---

One thing I do want to mention about 613 CC is that it works best on damaged hair (and I have naturally thin, fine, lifeless hair). If your hair is healthy, then 613 may not be your best bet. I'm not saying  that you should never use it, just that you should experiment with it and use it sparingly. 613 CC has the most concentrated amino acid complex of all the Wen CCs. -- While amino acids are great at strengthening damaged hair, they can make healthy hair britle which can make your hair break more easily.

---

Now, here's how I use 613 CC in my cleansing regimen...

Originally, I almost always used TT for my first cleanse. That was because tea tree oil does a great job of balancing the oil content in my scalp. Before Wen (and especially TT CC), my hair would turn into an oil slick inside of 18 hours. These days I can go between 3-4 days between cleanses.

Before BGT came out, 613 was my hands down favorite CC. Even so, I would usually only rotate 613 in every third cleanse just because I loved the aromatherapy experience from all the Seasonals (and they did have some of the amino acid complex it them, just not as much as in 613).

When BGT came out, I was surprised to find that it made my hair look healthier than even 613 did. I think my naturally thin, fine, lifeless hair really responded positively to the amino acid complex and mnatrual silica in Chaz's special bamboo water. So, once again, I had to take another look at my cleansing routine.

These days, I don't use the TT CC for my first cleanse anymore. I've found that the once or twice a week overnight jojoba oil/ tea tree oil scalp treatments are even more effective that the TT CC at balancing the oil on my scalp. -- I only rotate the TT CC in for my first cleanse when I get lazy about doing the overnight scalp treatments.

This allows me to use BGT for my first cleanse now. Since the first cleanse is usually to get the dirt out of your hair, usually people only keep the CC in their hair for about a minute. But since I want to get a greater benefit from the amino acids and silica in the bamboo water, I keep the BGT in my hair for about three minutes.

For my second cleanse, which is usually 3-5 minutes, I choose the Seasonal of the day because they all have worked equally well for me. And occasionally I use 613 CC for my second cleanse.

If I haven't kept up with my overnight remoist treatments for my hair -- in contrast to my overnight oil treatments for my scalp -- then my hair suffers. A single all 613 cleanse makes my hair feel much happier. In this particular case, it works better for me than BGT. As Chaz says, 613 is Wen on steroids. Smiley Happy

Also once or twice a month I will do an overnight 613 hair treatment. I actually put the 613 CC on my dry hair and squeeze it in as much as possible. I think my hair may like the overnight 613 CC treatments better than the overnight remoist treatments.

I have short hair, so my hair dries relatively quickly so I can overnight treatments with no issues.

It's a time saver in the morning and when I travel.
