Thank you dear friend for posting this.  It was great to see part of the visit.

I am so blessed that my wonderful Papa and I still have each other.  

Good Memories:

When I was small, no matter how busy he was, or tired, he ALWAYS read me a bedtime story.  

During my recent illness, he came everyday to sit by my bed to read me a story.  😍

I'm so glad that you were able to see that very special part of the Wen show when Chaz's dad was there. It was so heart warming to be a part of the genuine caring that they had for each other.

I know how much you and your dad care about each other, and I'm so very glad that he was by your side every day and read you a story every day. You've been well loved during your illness and I'm so grateful for that. Please give your dad a hug for me. 

Drythe, my friend, just seeing you back here posting on the forum makes me so happy. I know that you've got a long road ahead of you, but seeing you start to be able to participate more actively just fills my heart with joy and gratitude.

I remember watching Dr. Wayne Dyer on PBS one evening and he said  "The best thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother".   How true...Thank you dad!

That was really something!  They started talking about a special guest and Chaz got all red and all of a sudden they showed him and Chaz was hugging him, I was astounded, I did not expect to see him on the show.  I kept saying WOW, WOW, and just smiling.  That was so sweet.  Great that you posted that, bebe.  What a great thread.  I'm glad you had your father as support, Drythe.  That's a huge help.  My father used to tell us stories too.  I lost him in 1995.  My mother I haven't seen since 1990 when she was taken too.  I miss them terribly.  I have days where I cry all day and have a headache and swollen eyes but I try not to.  It's the summer that hurts the most because of all the wonderful memories.  It's really painful.  Oh well.  Like Archie Bunker said to Edith in one of the episodes, somebody's gotta die, Edith, that's part of life.  That's when the computer (key punch days) had Archie as gone and Edith was getting a death benefit so they had to go to the Veterans Admin to fix it and they said he was the victim of a slipped digit.  We watch the show in the evening, all the re-runs.  We laugh but some of them I cry.  At least I have a wonderful husband even though he's a bit scatter brained.  Just wanted to make you laugh.   My love to you all.  This is a great thread and I'm so very glad Drythe is coming along. @77yangya, as always, you have some of the most lovely and touching posts. Thank you for that. 

I am so sorry that both of your beloved parents are no longer with you. I hope that their memories which you hold in your heart provides you with some comfort. Of course, it's not the same thing, but when those we've cared about are alive in our heart, they are alive in our love.

Like yourself, I'm so very glad that @Drythe is on the mend and that she has her beloved father and husband loving and caring for her.
