Hello,

I am considering the TSV, but not sure which to get. I am sensitive to some fragrances.

Is 613 fragrance heavy and longlasting, or is it light and does it dissipate fairly quickly?

Also, I have fine hair that I color, would either 613 or the 319 weigh my hair down or cause it to look limp and even finer?

Each time a Wen is a TSV I sit on the fence and it is too late by the time I make a decision. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

@CatLoverDogsToo Welcome!

Between the two scents, 319 will be a lighter scent, although both are nice. 319 has a slight scent due to the essential oils used in the formula. To my nose it is a light citrus scent. 613 is a lovely lemon/vanilla scent.

I was on the fence for a long time before I took the plunge and was annoyed that I waited so long!  Give it a try. Worst case scenario is that it's not for you, and you send it back. Best case, is that you have Wenderfu, hair!

good luck and let us know how you like it!

Re: Wen 613 / 319 question

[ Edited ]

Wen's the only thing that fixes my dry, curly, unruly hair.  I liked the regular cleansing conditioners, but the rice restorative CC's I got with the TSV in December took everything to the next level in terms of moisture, manageability, and shine.  I've tried everything, including the other CC's on the market, and there is no substitute for Wen.  If I could get something cheaper to do the same job (or even close), I'd never buy Wen.

I got the TSV today in the 613 because this supposedly has more protein and restorative properties than even the rice restoratives.  Your hair is very different from mine, so I can't say how different your results will be or whether the 613/319 would be your best bet.  I'm sure more advice will follow.

@CatLoverDogsToo, welcome to the Wen forum and the wenderful world of Wen!!! Smiley Happy

I have thin baby fine hair any my hair would love a 613 or 319 CC IV drip. I once put a 613 CC mask on my hair for three days straight. All good. Smiley Happy

These two "Wen on steroids formulas" can be too strong for thick/coarse hair or even healthy hair (causing brittleness or breakage)-- especially if used too frequently -- but Wenners with our hair type generally love what 613/319 can do to make out hair stronger.

This is a crazy good value and I think it's right up your alley. -- Once you receive your Wen, feel free to pop in and ask all the questions that you want. Folks love their Wen and are really helpful. You are in wenderful hands. Smiley Happy

I'd recommend that you go with the auto-delivery option which locks this crazy good price in for three shipment. -- You can always skip shipments without penalty.

As to the scents:

* 613 -- even though it's not technically a floral, I think of it as a soft powdery almost floral scent. It's got vanilla, rosemary and a touch of lemon in it. I love it. I'd say the scent dissipates in 5-30 minutes.

* 319 -- if you are in doubt about the scent, you could always play it safe and go with the very lightly scented fragrance free version... it still has all the crazy good hair and skin care ingredients in it.

Best of luck and don't be a stranger!! Smiley Happy

I keep seeing posts saying the 613 is not great for thick or curly hair, but Chaz neve mentions this.

I bought the 613 TSV early and now am contemating the 319- i do like a little bit of scent.. is there enough scent to at least have a nice smell when using it. ( doesn't need to last )

@CoastalGal There is scent. It just doesn't have Fragrance added like 613. If you search 319 in the WEN forum, there is a thread where people report what they smell. Also, I think it is really individual what works. Some people need the aminos, others not and the frequency we all need to use 613/319 varies by person too. The more I cleanse, the more I really need to balance the high moisture formulas with the higher aminos.

@CoastalGal, when 613 CC first came out I literally probably read 300-400 reviews while I was trying to figure out if it would work for me.

When it worked, folks loved it... but I kept reading reports of straw hair and hair breakage. It was only over much time that I began to understand that folks with thick/coarse hair or very healthy hair needed to use it"as needed"... and just keep noticing what their hair was telling them. -- They just need to be mindful of how often they use it....

lol, unlike me with my genetically fragile hair that I once put in a 3-day 613 continual mask... just to see what would happen... and my hair was just fine... which sort of says tragic things about where I wound up in the genetic hair lottery. Smiley Happy

Thank you Bebe777

I decided to try the 319, ordered it, now I can't wait to get it. I hope I love it.  I took your advice and went with auto-delivery.
