Hi!  I'm a Wen girl going on seven years exclusive.  It saved my hair.  Not only the cleansing conditioners but the wonderful body products too.  People I've spoken with who compliment my hair think Wen is just a conditioner and they do this "co-wash" thing.  Wen is a cleansing conditioner.  It's cleanses and moisturizes too.  Anyone who cleanses with a product that is just meant to be a conditioner is not truly cleansing.    I always make sure my scalp and hair (very long) is completely all creamy while cleansing and combing through.  I always cleanse rinse and repeat.  My hair is squeaky clean while rinsing.  I use one pump back in as a leave in and 2 pumps of styling creme.  I have NO tangles.  After all this time I'm still amazed at the results.  I'm a hair person though.  I've always been fascinated by hair.  I like to see all kinds too and admire them.  It took me quite a long time to really learn how to blow dry the right way and to use Wen the best way.  I got the DVD and watched all the tutorials Chaz made.  Sorry for gushing.  The incredible luster and dimension Wen gave my hair is so amazing.  I guess that's why all the other posters on here love it too!  I can't wait for some Wen Men things to become live.  I love the smell of that.  Oh, heck, I love 'em all!  I'd wager the new Peony is gonna be a huge hit.  I think bebe or bruingirl got to sample it and they said it's amazing.  I believe it!

Welcome to the Wenderful family! You will love it! I am a huuuuuge BGT lover, so I am excited you chose it for your first adventure.

I must echo the suggestion to be patient. Unlike some products, with Wen more is more, especially at first. After your hair starts to improve you will find new discoveries of ways to maximize it even further! This board is super helpful as well. Have fun!

@Sweet_Serenity The most helpful tips for me were:

1. Use the correct # of pumps for your LENGTH of hair. If your hair is thinner, use the lower range. If thicker, use the higher range. The # of pumps is not about the "conditioning", it's about getting the amount of hair you have clean. You can split the TOTAL # of pumps into two cleanses, just like the old "lather, rinse, repeat" of shampoo.

2. Use enough water to "froth" the Wen up well. True, it doesn't lather like shampoo, but you should get a nice, bubbly froth going. Massage it well into your scalp. Keep adding water if necessary. Rinse til your hair "squeaks", running your fingers thru, and still massaging your scalp to get ALL the product out of your hair.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes!

@Sweet_Serenity @vermint Gave you great starter advice.  I think most of us didn't use enough or didn't rinse enough in the beginning. Lol. You are going to love BGT it will transform your bathroom into a spa and this particular scent seems to linger in my hair for days.  BGT is a good choice also because after one use between the results you will see in your hair and the aromatherapy experience you will understand why so many love this product SO much,  I've been a Wen girl now for 9 years and my hair is the longest and strongest since HS.  Welcome to the forum and if you have any questions the forum girls are more than helpful.  Enjoy !

@Sweet_SerenityWelcome!

Love the BGT.  One note, many apparently find BGT somewhat drying.  Just so you are not surprised if it happens to you.

To me BGT gives bounce, volume and shine OOMPH!  However, I do add a dollop of SHP to it when I use.

Your hair sounds a lot like mine.  Tons of hair but fine. Oily and can get weighed down easy. WEN has balanced out my hair & scalp oil. Can go about 4 days without washing and probably could go even longer. Before had to wash it it at least every other day.  BGT works really well for my hair, my hair loves its. It took abut a month before the big results happened but noticed the difference in about a week. The first time I used WEN it was a bit of a disaster because I didn't use enough cleanser, didn't rinse it out enough and only applied one cleanse.  Decided to visit the board for help on how to correctly use it and help in choosing the right formula. The ladies on this board are awesome and have great information. This board helped with the transition from normal shampoo too WEN.
