I saw this product on Elise's morning show w/ Chaz. She said it's customer top rated for growing hair and making it fuller, etc. It only has 3 stars. How is it top rated? I can't find a full ingredient list. The airing and online sends you to a 10PM WEN show on the 9th that is not listed.

Has anyone tried this and why not 5 stars if 2020 Award Winner?

IF users are saying this stuff makes hair grow, I'd guess that to be the result of wishful thinking.

@Kachina624   I'm not a believer either, but goes to show these awards are bull.

i was just checking out the poor reviews in particular.....most of them say nozzle stopped working, smell is bad, leaves hair too oily.

175 reviews, 3.1 stars......looks like a love or hate product.

@Shanus - If you really want to know the answer to what people who use this product think of it, why would you not ask in the Wen Forum.

I have a guess as to why you posted in the Beauty Forum.

@riley1   What's your guess? It's a Beauty Forum and beauty product. I don't think you need to go to a specific product forum to ask a question re: why a product says Customer Choice Award Winner with only 3 stars. That would mean if nail polish question, look for example, for a Perfect Formula forum? All questions here would be directed elsewhere.

Re: WEN HAIR TONIC

[ Edited ]

I've been using this for a few months.  There's a thread on it and so you might want to search it.

The scent is very strong.  A lot of people comment on this in their reviews and returned the product as a result.  I think they might keep the product if they stuck with it and saw the results, but a lot of people are sensitive to smells.

The spray nozzle did stop working for me.  I contacted Wen and they had a suggestion to fix it.  Someone on the thread suggested I request a new one as they did and Wen sent it to them.  I don't like the spray nozzle as I don't think it is exact enough.  I purchased a bottle and dropper and transferred the tonic to it.

I have seen baby hairs and, as a result, my hair looks fuller.

I only use it on the top, front of my hair.   I guess the suggested use is to use all over and through the ends of your hair.

I use it five days a week.

As for it making one's hair oily?  I think it completely depends on one's scalp and you cannot generalize this across the board.   Everyone's results are different.

I use it several times a week and defnitely see new growth.  I only use it on my forehead line and it has filled in.  I don't consider myself as having a problem with hair loss necessarily but it does make it feel more voluminous.  I cleanse every other day, so even when using the tonic every night, I don't feel like I need to cleanse the next day.

A bottle full of essential oils isn't going to grow hair. If anything, essential oils are known to be irritants to the skin. If these oils grew hair then every dermatologist and hair restoration specialist would be manufacturing their own and selling it in their offices and make a fortune. I worked for a dermatologist for many years.
