Quick question: What is the longest that you've kept an unopened bottle of WEN CC and then used it? I found one that is over 5 years and am wondering about it.
Thanks!

I have one sealed bottle that's about 3 years old. Another that I had for a long time and opened - and used - was just like a new bottle was.
I think when you open it, first, it's the smell test. Does it smell "off" in any way.
Then it's the formula itself. Do you think it has broken down chemically? Does it look normal or ... old?
If it passes those tests, I'd say use it once and see if there's anything off. If not, continue to use it.

I opened a Winter Vanilla Mint that was manufactured 5-6 years ago. I checked for three things:
1. Does it smell (or have the scent) that it says it is? Yes, it did.
2. Is the color of the product what it should be? Yes, it was.
3. Does it perform the way it is supposed to? Yes, it did.
I don't care what the manufactured date says. I didn't even know if that date is for the bottle or the date the contents were put into that bottle. In fact, after I opened that several-years-old bottle and found the product to be as top-notched as newer bottles, I don't check dates anymore.
But I understand that industry-wide, you should have no problems with bottles that are unopened for two years and to use up any bottle within one year of opening it.

I have some that was from 2015 and it's just fine. I don't worry about manufacture dates.

@Julie_23 I just opened an SOB bottle that I found in my closet - was in the back and didn't see it. Must be at least 4-5 years. It was fine. Smelled fine, color/consistency good, and hair looked great!

I think we are all in the same boat! I have a stock of CC cream and wen and will be using all of it as long as it smells good and looks good.
