Yeah. Definitely less CC.

I bought re-moist for the first time last August, and applied it by following the instructions in the wen booklet...which, as has been said, includes the 6 pumps of CC to "prime" the hair before applying.
Then, when watching one of the presentations on September TSV day (must have been when Chaz presented the deluxe size re-moist with comb...such a great deal!!), Chaz described the re-moist process differently.
As a new wen user, I wanted to know whether to follow the book or Chaz (though my motto is: when in doubt, listen to Chaz), so I took advantage of the fact that the staff was live chatting all that day and asked about it.
Here is the exchange:

I watched two presentations today that included a demonstration of the re-moist hydrating mask and I have a question about the procedure.
On air, they said to cleanse, rinse, repeat, then apply a teaspoon of the re-moist to your wet hair, work it in, put it up, and rinse out after 45 minutes or more. In the WEN booklet I received with my first order, it also includes several pumps of the cleansing conditioner as a "primer" before applying the re-moist. Since this wasn't mentioned on air, I was curious as to how necessary that step is. In the presentation, they mentioned that the re-moist gets worked in and turns clear, showing its absorption, and you could definitely see that on the model...when I've used the re-moist following the additional primer step, I get some froth and residual whiteness that I assume is because of the added cleansing conditioner. Will this make my re-moist less effective? Should I prime or not prime?
Thanks for your help! You guys have been great today.
@phoebesnow The priming step is not something you have to do. Where we really recommend that is for people that like to remoist a lot, or have really long hair. Since the remoist is one of the more expensive products, using the CC as a primer allows you to use less remoist while still getting a good deep treatment. It won;t be quite as good as remoist alone, but it's a great way to stretch out the remoist so it lasts longer.
So there you have it...that's probably as close to a definitive answer as we'll get, though of course we've all found what works best for our individual hair...

Thanks @phoebesnow! That's good to know. I have a ton of re-moist so I don't think I need to add any CC to make it last longer. ![]()

Actually on the second thought, the way they showed the re-moist treatment with CC priming - it does start to sound very promising! A real SPA luxurious hair treatment! I gonna do it in half and hour, for sure.
I'll have to come back for the results tomorrow, it's bedtime on the east coast.

Thanks for sharing this info @phoebesnow!
I want to object to this using CC prime is needed to save some re-moist. Because in this video, where they suggested 6 pumps of CC, then they used THREE tea spoons of re-moist for her entire head.
Well, I guess there are different ways to do this, and which ever way is chosen - re-moist mask is still going to be an excellent hair treatment!
Another thing Chaz mentioned in this video - to use a dime or a quater size of re-moist as part of your leave-in in your daily cleansing to really see great results.

I know! It's so strange to me that the instructions in the book and on the jar say to apply "liberally" (whatever *that* means in terms of actual quantity...), Chaz says to use a teaspoon, and the video shows 3. Zero consensus! Personally, I end up using about 3, but my hair is more than halfway down my back and still hungry for moisture and care (only started wenning in July).

I have heard this a few times but haven't tried (probably because I do use enough of the product that I want to save it for the overnight treatments)...anyone else try it? I'm thinking I might just use a dab on the ends.

@phoebesnow I sometimes use the re-moist as my leave-in. You don't need very much of it but it works great!

when I remoist, I shower at night and follow my normal wash rinse and repeat. When I get out of the shower, I add as much remoist to cover all of my hair except the scalp area and I concentrate on the ends. I probably use 2-3 finger scoops. My hair is just below the bra line. Then I use the wide tooth comb to evenly distribute the remoist and put my hair up in a turbie twist. Shower in the am and rinse completely. Add some leave in cc and sc. Works great for me!
